Painful seeing the bricks retire, this one certainly wasnt taken care of. Its kind of poetic though, since the VIN ends in 2023, which is the year this truck met its end. I love those things.

When I see the rust of that Suburban I think it was from e County in USA where was a lot of snow and salt. I don't think she ran in sunny Texas all the years!

Yup, 1977 model year, with the VIN for the win: C for Chevrolet, C for 2WD, L for 350 V8 with four barrel, 2 for 3/4 ton rated, 6 for Suburban, 7 for 1977 model year, F for Flint, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Flint, MI plant still operates today and produces Silverado and Sierra trucks. Yes, a fuel guzzler but in 1977 gasoline was fairly cheap and under $1.00 a gallon. Correct, a 454 V8 was an option in 1977, this had a 350 V8 small block originally. No tag, can't brag, but possible code 60 Neutral and code 81 Brown two-tone exterior paint. The "81" on the firewall matches up with the paint code of 81 for Brown, so that's likely what that means on there. Too bad no walkaround on the 1975 that came before it in the video.

You know that's not a Texas truck . It's from the Salt snow belt with a ton of rust.

Basically on Chevys if the little reflector is vertical on the front fender its crap and needs to go. If the reflector is horizontal its newer and good.
