I dodged a guy who thought that any song that I sang along to was a message to him... FFS! I listen to a wide range of music and it's not a fucking message. Sometimes I get stuck on a song and only want to hear that song on repeat. It's not a message. It ended one day when I went outside for a smoke, and he stayed inside watching the news. When I came back in, he was going off his head at me about something he saw on the news. The story wasn't about me but he was treating me as if it was me on the news story, it was so fucking weird. I hightailed out of there and never looked back. He sent messages through mutual friends because I refused to talk on the phone or to his face, I told them that they needed to stop passing on 3rd party messages from him because I deserve to live my own life without interruptions. They stopped passing messages onto me when the last one was "He misses you" and I replied "GOOD! I told him he would miss me and he pushed me away. He deserves that."

@@piegirl8263 The only reason I was even still going to visit at all was because a friend of mine was staying there, she had moved a long way from home, found out the guy was cheating on her, broke up, then found out she was pregnant. She ended up coming back to my house with me and staying with me until I could help her get back to her family. She had to fly on a plane, so had to do it at the right time of her pregnancy and she was high risk for miscarriage. And she ended up getting home, having that baby and 2 more with a wonderful guy who has looked after her and their babies. When she asked me why did I do this for her, I told her because I had once found myself in a similar situation, and I knew that she needed a bit of help.

I have my own story about this. A few months ago, I met this girl who wanted to be with me very badly after about 2-3 days of being friends. She kept calling me cute, and introduced me to people as her boyfriend. She also managed to get her friend trying to pressure me into the relationship with her. She also tried using her friend to make me break down so I'd go cry to her and be convinced that I love her, even though I made it obvious I didn't. After that all failed, a few days later her friend tried to date me infront of her and it made her angry. Me, her, and her friend have not talked since luckily.

I know someone who was a compulsive liar at one point in their life, they said that they just lied about everything because they felt like no one really knew the real them anyway, so they didn't care enough to tell the truth. I am curious of other reasons why someone would be acompulsive liar though

For me as a kid when my sorbets got divorced I became a compulsive liar and a kleptomaniac because I thought it helped me have some control in my life and fill that empty whole with my orders messy divorce

Compulsive lying is called COMPLUSIVE lying because it's somthing you can't control and I an actual mental condition that definitely doesn't make you crazy. However, you can get help, but people calling compulsive lists and really just most people in general crazy is pretty mean and demeaning. It can be really hurtful and completely untrue.

Me and all of her friends told her not to go out with this toxic creepy guy. His friends told her not to do it. She did it anyway. They aren't together anymore but he tried using me to get to her. It didn't work and I was offended that he would even try considering he stopped being friends with me when he started dating her. I told her he is still obsessed with her and confessed to being a stalker. If only she had listened to us.

I'm an only child with a half sister (dad's side). We've met 2-3 times in my life that I can actually recall, and my dad signed away his rights so she could be adopted by his ex wife's new husband. So strange situations like that *are* possible. Then again, legally we aren't related anyway. And we're basically strangers to each other. So in that respect, are we *really* sisters? No ill will but I don't really think it counts lol

I think the coworker (first story) is most definetly in an abusive relationship and doesn't want to leave the gf because they don't want to be the reason she hurts herself again. very common in abusive/manipulative relationships

Don't know if anyone said this already, but I think the story of the girl who went on one date with the guy and then called him up on Christmas to introduce him to her family might have been because she was sick of her family asking about her being single so decided to lie to them. Hence that odd phone call with her "boyfriend" because he'd either go along with it or "dump" her and she'd have time to herself from her family's relationship questions because she could say that she was still getting over her "ex." At least that's what all the trash books and TV I've seen are telling me is what happened lol. She could be delusional too, but I just really want to believe in the whole trope about lying about being in a relationship, to not actually be in a relationship. :)

1st Story: Both the co-worker and his (the co - worker's) ex - girlfriend are crazy. 2nd Story: The person needs to cut off/end the friendship if they haven't already. 3rd Story: The person did the right thing when they got full custody of their son. 4th Story: I wonder why the girl lied about that stuff. That stuff was small, so it wasn't worth lying about. 6th Story: The brother absolutely did the right thing when he dumped the crazy girl. The crazy girl had no right to tell the person that the entire month of October is off limits because she doesn't want the person to steal her "dream wedding date." That person and their spouse to be are the ones who choose the date for their own wedding.

Except I AM an only child, and I have five siblings. My Mom had me and a son who died. She and my Dad divorced, he remarried, and had three more kids with my Stepmom (half sisters and brother). My mom remarried a man who had been married before and had two kids from that marriage (Stepsister and Stepbrother). So I do talk about my sisters and brothers, but I am my Mom’s only child and that’s how I grew up. The steps would visit for a few weeks in the summer and maybe Christmas. I would visit my Dad and the halfs a few times a year, but in my home, most of the year I was the only child.

Not sure if the first one was really about the coworker being crazy, sounds to me like the crazy woman was heavily manipulating the situation, so as to force him to be with her otherwise she would tell the police that he attacked her. If not it would be strange she attacks herself while he already wrestled a steak knife from her if there wasn't some obvious manipulation going on. But to be fair, I'm just hearing this from a very 3rd party hearsay situation maybe the way the coworker was talking about maybe he was obviously in love with the situation (falling for the crazy woman) hence he was crazy, but the text doesn't really convey that.
