For those wondering, there is an update to the first story: OP‘s dad talk to OP, and told her he would be returning all the items, and would take time off of work to spend a day with his kid. The Dad, put the stepmom and the stepdaughter in a hotel to give OP space from them. When OP is ready to talk to them, they will apologize to OP, and once they met up with OP’s mom, The dad will talk to his gf.

I personally think that you should make sure you can reasonably provide for your child(even through donations and used baby items), but cutting back on luxuries is not a sign that you can’t afford a baby, it’s a sign that you care more about a baby than luxury.
@caleb.Baloogler

That’s basically the American mentality now, if you can’t “financially support” your child, you should get an abortion and kill your own child. I have a friend with 7 siblings, and their parents had all of them after another after getting married with NO MONEY AT ALL. They lived off of every penny they made, usually not having enough to do anything but barely provide enough food. Now every single one of them are extremely happy and living a good life because their parents put in the work, and my friend is about to start working in one of the biggest companies in the state and is already planning out his wedding. He’s only 17. This is the most messed up mentality you can have, and it does show you’re not ready for kids, not because of where you are financially, but more because you’re not where you should be mentally, it shows you’re not mature.
@Sarah_Bragg

Yes, luxuries are just that, luxuries. Getting rid of them to have a healthier rainy day fund or have enough food for that other child is part of being able to provide for the child.

1st Story: The dad should break up with his girlfriend. The girlfriend should've spent a bit of the money (given by OP's dad) on a Starbucks drink for OP (a girl/female). Asking for a Starbucks drink is a small thing to ask. The girlfriend spoils her daughter. I hope that the dad stands by his daughter's (OP's) side and not his girlfriend's side. 2nd Story: Katie is a Karen and the things she said are so insensitive, terrible, and totally unacceptable. The person did the right thing when they kicked her out. 3rd Story: OP's ex and the ex's wife are in the wrong.
@zuzuwu.
@zuzuwu. 2 жыл бұрын
The first story is unbelievable, as if the gf herself did something to be rewarded lmao Also Katie deserves some karma lol The ex story reminds me of one where a girls dad cheated on her mum and then got with the lady after the mum died The girl had a best friend who cheated on her bf, so then she tells the friends bf that she cheated Many years later after becoming close friends they start dating Then the dads wife, so the cheater in crime, has the AUDACITY to tell her she “broke girl code” 3 times, once for ruining her friends relationship and the second for dating him But really just enunciating the first time was when she told her mum that her dad was cheating The girl blows up and says she doesn’t really like home wreckers but all of a sudden the dad gets offended, so she’s like “oh yeah I forget that you were cheating too”
@tm2bee
@tm2bee 2 жыл бұрын
Last story: The cheaters do not deserve to be included or treated nicely. HOWEVER, there are children involved and they don't understand the dynamics of the situation, have ZERO blame and shouldn't suffer because their dad is an idiot. They all need to suck it up and fake it til they make it. My husband grew up in a home full of drama and partners coming and going. He is 60 yrs old and any time we talk about it I can still see pain on his face. This isn't easily healed, if possible at all. Put the kids first.

First story : I really hope the girl has other relatives who are good to her and she can get as far away from those witches as possible if her Dad is a spineless jerk who's not going to kick the banshee and her spawn back to the streets, and will put those who aren't even his family first before his own daughter. Second story : Definitely agree that you shouldn't bring a child into this world if you can't provide for them, HOWEVER no one should ever be as cruel, selfish and self rightuous as the 'sister', ESPECIALLY when they were obviously still grieving over their loss. Someone that insensitive and cruel should have been disowned. I personally believe they were way too kind to her after what she just did. Third story : Wow. Just Wow. Some people really do think cheating can be justified. Some people really can be selfish as all hell and would rather destroy someone else's life so they can be happy. Cheating in itself is immoral and selfish and when you add kids into the mix, that's just cruel and heartless. Hopefully as soon as those kids are old enough and can understand the situation enough they'll stay far away from those monsters who only think about themselves. Also off topic but Ellen be looking pretty as usual.💙💙

2nd story: I agree with what dad said, you may have money to raise a kid but not extra money for extracurricular activities. And even if you need to opt out of going on a pricey vacation to begin saving for your future child's needs, that is what a good parent(s) does! Sometimes, especially when preparing for a child, serious sacrifices have to be made. That doesn't at all mean you can't provide for the child day to day, that's saving up for the child. And then once the child is there parents (well most parents) will do absolutely whatever it takes to provide. She was all around wrong and way out of line to make those comments. I'm sure the couple that lost a baby will not be in contact with her anytime soon but the rest of the family needs to tread lightly given the massive red flag that's just been raised about her feelings/priorities!

*1st Story:* The father should end the relationship with his GF and daughter. It appears the GF only cares more about herself and her daughter than those around her. I feel like if the father stays with GF for longer, things will go down south really fast. It won’t be healthy for him or his daughter. *2nd Story:* We can all agree that “Katie” is a straight up “Karen”. Her entitled behavior says a lot. Also, the AUDACITY to say a loss of a loved one is a “good thing”?! Are you out of your mind?! WTF. *3rd Story:* ESH (everyone sucks here). Especially all of the “exe’s”. All are in the wrong. Cheating is unacceptable. If you aren’t happy in a relationship, end it in a mature fashion instead of sleeping with someone behind’s someone’s back for 10 months straight.

I don't really think that the OP is in the wrong in the slightest. All she did was roll her eyes and laugh and ignore her. You don't have to stop hating someone to be civil, and she has been civil. By acting entitled to other people's respect, the Ex's new wife got treated exactly the way she deserved: like a selfish jerk who clearly doesn't understand what she did wrong or why it would result in people not wanting to be associated with her. And by being treated in that way, the kids are learning a valuable lesson: cheating will make you lose the respect of others. Their parents are not respected because they cheated and broke people's hearts, and nobody will forgive a cheater, only barely tolerate them. OP could've done much worse, yet she didn't and hasn't judging by the way the Ex's wife felt so comfortable ranting to her about her sorrows. It's her fault for believing that they were on better terms than they actually were. Why would you assume the person who got hurt because of your affair would care about you in any way? OP has been civil and distant, not her best friend who suddenly betrayed her out of nowhere. In no way did she do anything wrong, except be a little petty and a little pettiness is warranted when the other person needs to learn their place.

For the second story, it didn’t really sound like they were destitute or anything. They opted out of a luxury trip to save money for their baby…meaning BEFORE said baby they could have afforded to go, don’t see how that’s struggling or financially unable to care for a baby. Also…it’s just a shitty thing to say, especially to someone who has just suffered a loss like that. That’s like telling someone that it’s great their mom died because now you won’t hear them nagging at you to clean your room. What kind of fucked up shit is that?

I can't disagree nor can I agree with the second story. Yes, you should be more ready _before_ having a baby. I can say this through experience, cuz my mom gave birth to my older sister when she was still at her twenties and during those time she and my dad were financially unstable. My mom had to overwork herself just to buy milk for my sister. But I also hated how Katie acted though, it was insensitive of her to do such a thing, especially towards ppl who just lost their child. My mom experienced grief when my supposedly second brother died in childbirth. And the cause of his death was her overworking herself. That's why before making a family, prepare first and make sure that you and your partner are stable enough to support a child.

As someone who comes from a family as disfunctional as the one in the third story, I have some unpopular opinions. Tbh the grandparents don't owe the children of the stepmother anything. I mean, the ex is their step-dad, but the way I view it is that the connection between the ex's parents and the stepmoms children is just too small. And the grandparents don't want anything to do with the stepmoms, the kids are just a lil unlucky. Personally, I have many halfsiblings from the people who destroyed my home, and I want nothing to do with them. Some say it's bad of me since they are my siblings, even if I don't view them that way. They're also innocent, but I don't care. And I think that may be how the grandparents feel, as in not viewing them as their grandchildren and wanting to spite the stepmom

My mother in law did something very similar to me, when i got pregnant withbmy second child, this woman is a VERY religious woman, but not good religion, almost cult like where everything is evil! Anyway, i told her, (we had just found out) and she goes on to tell me that they have enough grandkids and they dont need anymore! Well, two weeks later i miscarried and she was HAPPY! She thought i had a problem with pills, which i had been prescribed pain pills for severe back pain, but hadnt been on them for a while by then because i was trying to get pregnant. A few years later when i got pregnant again, she didnt acknowledge my pregnancy until i was almost 7 months along, she thought if she just ignored the fact my precnany would go away! But after i had her, she was all over the place, wouldn't leave her alone! My daughter just graduated high school at thevtop of her class and it still upsets me to no end. She has never apologized and im sure doesnt think she did anything wrong, but i think about it all the time and it hurts bad. She is crazy tho, everyone in the family knows she has lost it so i try not to take it personally, but it still hurts. She wasnt crazy when i met my husband, that came years later after meeting people from church cult, where its ok for her to judge EVERYONE!!!!

I don't think it would have killed OP's parents to form some kind of relationship with their son's stepchildren. It feels somewhat hypocritical to think so little of cheaters for ruining a child's familial structure, and then as a family member refuse to atleast pretend to treat them nicely out of spite for their mother. I suppose it isn't a huge deal since they likely have more grandparents from the ex's wife's ex, and idk maybe I just don't get it because I've never had stepfamily, but I kinda agree with the cheater a little bit. Don't think OP is in the wrong necessarily, since they were hurt and have no reason to respect either cheater, but they could at least put that aside for the sake of children if the children are really that hurt by it. If they solved the issue the ex's wife brought up later and the only problem was her laughing, then yeah it's ridiculous for the cheaters to be upset, and heck even if the cheaters had a point I don't think they had the right to be upset at her. I just don't think it's right to put your squabbles over the mental wellbeing of a child, especially multiple children, even if they're the children of the woman your husband cheated on you with.

1st story tell your dad You don't want to spend time around them if they're going to be in the picture or make sure or if hes going to hang out with you he has to do it alone without them and that you want no further relationship with them. He might be mad but you're like they Wasted your money all of themselves refused to let me eat food or drink Anything. 2nd story. Ask your mom if her Friends kids act like that towards her or brother she wouldn't want them in her house either correct. Families don't get along together all the time but rubbing a death in the face like that is just wrong regardless of who you are. 3rd story. That ex wife and ex husband deserve each other cause they're both horrible people. They cheated which result tempered their children's view on partners And relationships. Trust me this happened to my cousins. It really f***** them up. It took them a real long time to find people they loved because they couldn't trust anyone.

Okay I would understand someone not wanting someone else pregnant IF the person who is 🤰smokes, isn't financially stable (because of spending money on smokes) and has to ask for bus fair (witch is around $6). my aunt was pregnant and couldn't afford bus fair (she still can't) so I don't think she is fit to be a parent but at the same time I was excited because I love baby's and wanted a good relationship with it (it was a miscarriage witch sucks but it's life) I hope I didn't offend anyone but this is my opinion. I have not told my aunt this but my dad did (in different wording)

i agree wi everyone wi the first and second stories, but in the third one, i think the ex’s parents should at least create a bond wi the new wife’s kids, it’s understandable that they don’t want to have a bond wi the new wife but the kids are just kids, they don’t understand the situation and it is in no way their fault, they deserve to have a happy bond wi their step grandparents. not justifying cheating, or taking the new wife’s side, i’m just talking about the kids

First story... there will ALWAYS be friction between a packaged deal (mother-in-law and her daughter) versus her current Husband and his daughter. But still? That was a low blow when her father gave his current wife to have a 'GIRLS' day out on the town and the exception is his OWN daughter. Not gonna lie, that brings lots of red flags to me. Both HIM and his current WIFE are both bring a kid in toe from previous failed relationships and they both SHOULD know accepting each others kids is ALSO part of the package. Sounds like the Husband is on board with that bit of common sense, his wife? Not so. The fact that both of them are from failed relationships? Makes the next one even MORE likely! Save this time it is going to be them and I think I can see WHY his wife's previous relationship failed. She is too self centered in totally coddling her kid. Hello? She gained and EXTRA my marrying him! Just as he did too by marrying her. Her real problem coming soon? If she can't treat HIS kid like family? He is going to figure out QUICK if he is a decent father he married a woman he SHOULDN'T be considering like family anymore. They both came in as equals and they both came in with baggage of THEIR kids. Yes I WILL call kids baggage but every decent parent considers that 'baggage' as the most valuable thing they own too! Something you can't afford to be separated from even as supporting them requires a world of work. I actually hope this family works out their differences and this 'Wife' needs to realize she isn't just dealing with JUST HER KID anymore and her husband's kid isn't optional to deal with because that attitude in a family? WILL DESTROY IT. Father might be the one to trigger the divorce but the Wife triggered that chain by NOT treating her step-daughter like an actual daughter cause point blank? SHE IS. That is what it means when TWO families come together and dad? Got to watch out for his daughter too and if the wife and daughter combo isn't good for his own child? WRITTING IS ON THE WALL AT THIS POINT. That's just the way it goes but still just the same? Hope it works out for this family cause? Broken families are never a good thing and this would be round two lost for THIS marriage after both of their previous ones failed. Second story. Any time a child is lost, even an unborn one? Especially if the couple were looking forwards to the challenge despite not being prepared for it? Always a tragedy but to have a sister as insensitive as that to make a commit like that? It felt almost like she felt pleasure from this tragedy just to prove she is right in her logic? This girl has either a very tiny soul or no soul at all. Some things are best unsaid even if there is a grain of truth in it and when I say a grain? I mean a grain! But to have someone THAT EMOTIONALLY DEAD to her own brother's suffering?!? I absolutely BLAME THIS on 'Planned Parenting' working it's ways into public schools... our children are being taught in school to devalue unborn life with 'logical' explanations of WHY you shouldn't have a kid yet. My counterpoint? Takes two to make one, should take two to reverse the process (Speaking for fathers here). But with a sister THAT self involved to not even notice the emotional damage her brother suffered? Psychopath in the making... because those are people that can't properly connect to other people and in their minds, don't really consider other people AS ACTUAL PEOPLE. If she could? She would of never said what she said and even afterword? Tried to defend it and instead should of swallowed that tiny bit of shame she felt. I can see kids where they FEEL like they are in the wrong but won't admit it because they were taught the ARE RIGHT. And that? Rarely comes from parents. Just my two cents but this sister was so far in the wrong... I'm glad she isn't MY sister. I've HAD two, one passed away and was bi-polar so she was always a challenge but still loved just the same and my youngest? Spoiled, self-centered but no where as mean as this one. Least SHE learned silence. Last story? Can't commit. It's just to freaking confusing, soaps are easier to figure out. \_ O _/.

Here's my am i wrong story: The door to wall in at mu school in the mornings is one of the side doors so you walk in to where the 7th graders have lunch, and where the lockers are. then there is a doorway into the hallway and of your standing against the wall on either side, you cant see the side your not standing in. so i was at school about to go get something from my locker before going to my next class. there were a couple other people in the room where all the lockers were. I was about to turn into the doorway to get into that room. One person was running really fast, and ran into me because i was against the wall in the hallway and we count see each other. he didn't apologize and just ran off. When i got into the room, this one girl laughed and said i deserved it and walked out of the room. I knew she wasn't the nicest person but i literally never talk to her so i didn't really understand why she said that. Later that say, i was in between two tables and there was only enough room for one person in between them and my seat was right next to where i was standing. i was setting my backpack down and she tried to walk past and and told me to move. I told her i couldn't because there wasn't enough room. she said that actually i could i just didn't want to. i think im a generally a nice person but she was really getting on my nerves. there actually wasn't enough room it was just the fastest way to her seat. so i said: actually i cant. Next time you on just walk around the table its really NOT that hard. last time i checked, you had 2 feet so stop being rude and just walk around me. she didn't reply and i got the satisfaction later of someone telling her that no one cared what she had to say. this was probably because she talks about her friends behind her back, and usually exaggerates or lies about it. i cant stand people like that

My biological dad who has very rarely been there for me told me that he had a girlfriend and I was excited for him as he is my dad and I still care for him even if he isn’t there when I need him. So I met his girlfriend and we got along very well my sister and I started to stay over at his house more often (which he only bought for her and her kids) anyways one night her daughter who is one year older than me asked if I ever smoked weed I said no she offered for me to try and I said no and so did my sister cause my parents are strict as hell and she said okay and smoked in front of us which I was fine with cause I wasn’t smoking. I guess she told her mom that We did because a few weeks later when my bio dad got in a fight with his girlfriend over her other daughter she told him that my sister and I are drug addicts. He calls my mom while she’s in the passenger seat with my older sister who is driving and my mom screamed at my sister asking if it was true and my sister said no that neither of us had ever smoked weed so anyways my mom is pissed and goes to my job and tells me to give her my phone so I do and I asked her to leave which she did eventually but she still didn’t believe us so she bought drug test and made us pee in front of her and they both turned out negative so now my mom is angry at the gf for talking bad about us not to mention that daughter who said that about us does hard core cocaine
