I saw this guy in March at the festival of Jerez in Andalusia, where he stood in at the last minute for a much older, longer established maestro of flamenco guitar who wasn't able to make it. After modestly introducing himself, he then proceeded to blow everyone present away. I went from sitting there with my mouth open in awe, to being deep in contemplation, to laughing in disbelief at the cheeky boldness and sheer joy that emanated from this guy as he played. He felt every single note. When he finished to a very loud ovation, the woman sitting beside me simply said "a star is born..." Yerai is a phenomenon, breathing a new life into the art of flamenco. Viva!

Es alucinante. Este tío tiene algo muy grande. A nivel técnico está por las nubes. Mezcla la tradición con un toque muy fresco y tiene un dominio del tiempo y el compás que no es normal. Además transmite físicamente lo que toca. Se nota y se valora que lo vive.

​@@tiffanyapril5458There are a lot of new players, crazy virtuosos, older players with a lot of music etc. on the scene so it's hard to say But Yerai has a crazy amount of Duende (spirit) and sometimes plays really simple things with just a ton of that spirit, and you can really feel it, he's very groovy

It's a 'Romance'. Traditionally without guitar when sung, but when accompanied by one, a 'solea', 'jaleo' or 'bulerias' rythm is used. Yerai used a bit of every rythm in this one.
