What an amazing performance! Everyone always mentions Chris Squire’s outstanding bass lines but he was also an incredible vocalist. The way he harmonizes with Jon is a big part of the Yes sound!

SO true, Chris's vocals were such a huge part of their sound, he was every bit as important vocally as anything else, "FISH OUT OF WATER" really showcase's his vocal talents and is a musical masterpiece and evidence of the huge importance of his role in this band!

Tormato was the last "thin Chris" tour. Not sure why he went from tailored suits and styled hair to at the end just didn't give a crap what he looked like. The tights or sweatpants were not a good look for him. @pecanpie100
@pecanpie100 2 жыл бұрын
@@Sadowsky1965 Yeah, Chris preferred the Ranney 8-stringer over the Ric because the Ranney allowed for individual intonation settings for each of the 8 strings. The Ric didn't have that capability with the stock bridge. So the Ric 8-stringer was either in tune down low on the neck or up high, but not both.

These lyrics are no joke to remember...yikes! I know Jon wrote them but still...you gotta really concentrate to not get lost in it. Well done, Jon!

I saw them get out of sink a few times on this and 90125 stuff. Sometimes Anderson would forget or transpose the words, but well oh well That's what live is for. Artistry in motion.

After listening to this over 100 times I just realised there are other instruments playing there as well as the bass.

No me da miedo repetirme, maravilla e canción.

I could listen to that final chorus section 3:18 - 4:40 continuing for an HOUR. Every instrument just brilliant.

Yes, it's a B flat major and a A minor Chord. A half not distance but a universe too. If you have the ability to swing.....

Certainly the best rock band of all time. All the components are great instrumentalists. Jon Anderson is his 'angelic melodies' are like a pillar of the compositions.

My favorite version of this band. I like the warmer, less brittle drums of Alan, who looks like he’s having fun.
