Missed you for sure! Talking about controversial topics, definitely have a look at adoption and religion. It is a very important influence for many people that are currently adopting. You sort of covered it when you talked about the rescue complex, but religion takes that to a different level.

Unfortunately we are living in a nearly global culture of, "if my point of view is valid, then it's the only one that's valid and questioning that premise devalues me as a person." Kudos for pointing out the fact that there are differences between the generations, and that there are problems based in the idea that a justified feeling is the only possible justified feeling despite all individuals having their own histories.
