All competent and great musicians, but urgently need to rebrand as "More No than Yes (apart from Steve Howe)"

Oh dear. Really dragging and slow - and where’s the power??? Compare this to what Jon Anderson has been doing with the Band of Geeks and this is uncomfortable and embarrassing. The shame is that both Billy Sherwood and Jay Shellen are impressive in their own right and, honestly, and Jon Davison is a decent enough singer (though, despite his younger age, doesn’t have the subtlety, grace or power of Anderson). The two things that are pulling the band down are, sadly, it’s oldest members: Downes is fine playing “Drama Line Up” songs but just can’t pull off the more technical Wakeman or Moraz stuff - at best he CAN approximate some of Tony Kaye’s playing - and, as for Howe, an undoubtedly talented, inspirational guitarist in his day but, in 2024, his “day” is long, long behind him - in order to even attempt some of the trickier guitar phrases he used to play with ease, he now demands that songs are slowed down to an insane degree to accommodate his lessening of dexterity. “Machine Messiah” shouldn’t be an ordeal, but hearing this…it is.
