Thanks for sharing! I've seen YES perform live seven times since 1973. Never seen them do this song...one of my many faves! They did this very well! I liked how newbie Davison helped out by playing a synth on Downe's keyboard rig for the effects!

I am , from far far away, truly happy for you. I have yet to see them also. The 70's...even @-holes made wonderful music, when given the "right" circumstances, back then!

Nothing personal here, but Alan White still can't fill Bruford's shoes on the Fragile stuff. The stuff Alan was on in the studio was good. He plays "his" stuff well. I think it is just the drastic style difference between drummers. Bill's addition to yes was that his drumming was very melodic and his jazz timing is impeccable. This being said, you can sure see that Yes has been a touring band the last few years. The're pretty tight overall.

Yeah well I think Alan tries to put his own little spin on it and he's older now..Drumming being the most physical demanding job in a band I understand why he's a bit slower now

Its his timing that is off in this video.

The funny thing about your comment is that I think the same thing about Geoff. Just seems like all the big Wakeman flourishes just get watered down to something simpler and not as interesting. "Fragile" is such a tough album to reproduce on its own....but especially when the key players are not in place.

Don't know what ya got 'till it's gone!! If you're that distracted by Allan's playing to make negative criticisms ( he's too old to consider it constructive criticisms lol) ,listen to the old stuff then? These guys are in DAT era of life.(dead any time) so as the speed and flash slowly go and exposes the "music" that's left over, I'll enjoy. Look at Chris- heart attack in waiting? My 12 yr old son says a giant parasitic monster has the real Chris curled up inside the monster's big belly as he lives off of the real Chris.hahahaha Let's lighten up when it comes to music everyone? yeah Bruford is one of my biggest influences too ,so I feel your pain but get over it.Our life is not meant for sweating things like this. Cheers mate!
