I was born in '67 but, I grew up with YES, Gentle Giant, Zappa, King Crimson and more. Yes is very special to me because the very FIRST album I ever purchased was YES Close to the edge in 1973 ( I still have it!). I was just a 5 year old kid but this music change my life! I am forever grateful...

I was also very precocious when it came to music. I had two much older hippy sisters that started taking me to concerts when I was about 4-5 years old. I was born in '64 and the best gift was their record collections when they went off to college. Music has always been the most important part of my life and how I met my husband of 40 years.

This music is unlike anything before or after Yes. One main point is that the members were beyond virtuosos, and many songs had very accessible portions, not just endless musical obscurity. I in particular remember many girls wearing Yes tour t-shirts, almost never other prog units.

I wish I had been there, however, I was a little child at that time, I envy everyone who were fortunate enough to see those shows in the seventies.

Lol, I was in Seventh Grade when Yes began back in 1968. Although, today depending on my listening mood there are too many Classic Yes songs on my Favorites List to mention. Lol !!! However, after discovering this music video ( the extended edit version) this is by far My "All-Time" favorite Ever. Great job again "Yes" !!! Oh, BTW !!! I have submitted Other reviews on Yes on other MV's and I will reinterate that: IMO - the "Genere" should be defined as: ("Yes" - Best known for it's {Progressive, Classical, Renaissance Style} Rock Music in It's Time) - Period!!!. There Style of Music is quite "Unique" - and Second to None. A Group that "Can-Not" be Duplicated by any other Rock Group out there. Love Ya Always - "Yes". Thank You for All the memories over the past 40+ years (1968-Present). P.S. (Again, (Roger Dean,) your Art Work has been always "Simply Subperb") - Bravo!!!

I was in second grade when this was released. As for Seventh Grade, that's when I discovered "YES". What better way then with "YESSONGS" being my first album. And the "RELAYER" tour being my first tour. Let the games begin!🫧🌟🎶🫧

Yes put together concept music, with an entire side of a 33 1/3 vinyl record being one compilation. It is nice to hear the albums in a digital format. Classic music deserves recognition.

For Yes connoisseurs. The outtake insertions are nice in the way they show the intended spaces & progressions. Also the outtakes haven’t been bathed in reverb ie: the drier drums reveal beat patterns I’d never noticed. Thank you

I was 15 when this LP came out, and over the years I have listened to almost every month of my life, I have a German white label copy, 2 American version ‘s and various CDs I first heard the extended version on the YES box version. I often wonder how this LP would have sounded with Bill Bruford on drums, I think it would have been brighter and perhaps more complex. Of course Alan came to the table with Relayer, after that he was no longer a Rock drummer. I agree with another person who posted, YES is beyond Progressive Rock, they are in a category of their own making. No other Band will ever come close to the song writing and musicianship of Squire, Anderson and Howe. Long after we are all gone, I wonder how future young people will receive this music.

Clearly a lot of work gone into this, but the "out-takes" are just the "Dance of the Dawn" studio run through from the 2003 remaster CD chopped up into bits. Nothing new here, just duplication. Still - good fun though.

When I was a teenager, I thought this album was so cool, so fantastic but now, as an adult, I see it as overdone, unbelievably pretentious and even boring. I couldn't listen to all four sides of this monstrosity even if you paid me. Sorry.
