I gotta say man, I really like your conversational way of talking about tech. You make it easy to determine if I even care about the more in depth particulars of a specific product which I can dig into on my own, or not. All while still offering a good amount of detail, and touching on all the things that users of a given product would be looking for info on. I'm a tech nerd myself, but sometimes I just want an informative overview that touches on the things that matter. You provide just that. You address every concern I'd have for either of these monitors, and you do it without the too-high energy and over-hyped style that so many other tech creators use. Thanks for giving us a dope, informative but relaxed view of modern tech!

Surprised no KZbinr is mentioning the issues with Dolby Vision HDR on PC. The algorithm locks the details around the True Black HDR 400 range and the brightness beyond that is clipped. This is on the latest Nvidia 546.33 driver and reverting to 546.17 removes the Dolby Vision lock and the monitor will be able to ise the full HDR 1000 setting. *Using HDMI 2.1*

I don't think you mentioned this but most of the 2024 OLED monitors shipping this year are still limited to HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4, which means you'll need to use DSC to run the max refresh rate. Unfortunately, DSC is still broken on Nvidia GPUs (black screens while gaming and/or alt tabbing). Not to mention some features are completely disabled while using DSC, like Nvidia DSR, DLDSR, and image scaling. They claim they're "looking into it" but until we hear more I would be hesitant to buy any of these new models. So far the only new QD-OLED monitor I've seen with DP 2.1 is the GIGABYTE AORUS FO32U2P, and if it reviews well that's the one I'll be purchasing! The next gen of Nvidia GPUs will almost certainly ship with DP 2.1, so I would like a little future-proofing if I'm going to drop $1000+ on a new monitor.

So far ive only seen QD OLED and glossy screens be worse than WOLED and matte finishes so im stoked that the 480hz is WOLED matte.

Things still need to be done to make OLED a complete replacement for VA and IPS displays on desktops as there's still far too many static images when doing everyday computing. Every time I think about getting one, I usually have to remind myself of the burn in on various OLED devices I've had since 2008.

Hey BadSeed, you're 2 reviews were incredible. You helped me make a decision and I took the plunge and purchased the AW3225QF. I believe this will be a great companion to my AW 18M (sporting an Nvidia RTX 4090). I do have a question; would you connect via the DisplayPort or HDMI to get the absolute best performance? As an FYI, the laptop has a mini DisplayPort. Thx again and keep the videos coming!

I can't wait to get one of these new QD-OLEDs but I am going to hold off til Summer and see what prices are like and after some long term reviews start happening. But I have the LG 32GQ950-B 4K 144Hz nano-ips. basically LG's top IPS they make and it does have an amazing picture. So I have hold off 6 months and revisit OLEDs then.

Any chance you can do a tutorial on setting up the 27, I just bought it and am having trouble with HDR and all the different settings. Turn on windows hdr, smart hdr, the hdr setting on the monitor, hdr in game? If I don’t have hdr in game but hdr is on what happens I’m cknfused

I really like that you inclusive the vrr Flicker, which i Hope the other Monitors do not have, but Most reviews don’t Cover that part. Now your my go to guy, for my next Monitor, which will be a qd-oled this year ✌️ Ps: you have a very good ability to hype products (was even more convinced of the sennheiser 58x) after your video and i am satisfied with my Choice to this day. Keep it up!

I'm really interested in the 32-inch monitor reviewed in your video for both gaming and work. Could you please check if this monitor supports gaming at 1440p resolution on consoles? I'm particularly looking to play Apex Legends at 120 fps and use 4k resolution for work tasks. I prefer not to game in 4k on the console due to the significant performance drop in fps games, especially in competitive play. Your feedback would be incredibly helpful for making my decision. Thank you so much!

As others have commented, 2024 is finally the year for me to upgrade to an OLED panel. This was a fantastic upload, as per usual! The three year warranty including burn in, sounds phenomenal. Well played Dell! As you mentioned, I am also quite curious about the other OLED panels coming out later this year - But this AW2725DF just really tickles my interest!
