Hi Candice and Kate, thank you for your video. I had a transplant 3 years ago. And last year I decided to give pregnancy a go after everything had stabilized. I had a really smooth journey, no complications at all. A C section was scheduled at 38 weeks, but at 34 weeks plus 5 days my baby’s heart just stopped after I have just been told the previous day during a check up that my baby was healthy and big. It’s been a month since I gave birth to him and I’m still in shock and deeply devastated. My doctor mentioned that due to my transplant I’m at higher risk of stillbirth which leaves me with very little hope

Hello Candice, I just have to say that this video was a blessing! I received my kidney transplant on 9/11/19 and it has been an amazing journey thus far. I had my doctor's appointment today and we discussed pregnancy. I am married and we have no children so of course we're excited about the possibility post transplant. I was discouraged today knowing the risks associated with pregnancy and came across this video and it has given me a new hope to push forward and remain positive. You answered all my doubts and questions. I truly thank you, your co-host, and the doctor for sharing your life experience and knowledge.

Hello I’m also wondering about kids, but I’m not in a relationship or not even active. I had a transplant in 2017, I am nervous about the risks. This video helped me to get through my anxiety, and May get through my first pregnancy one day.

What contraceptions did you use the first year of your kidney transplant? I don’t like the idea of an iud with progesterone, but I’ve been told it’s very little progesterone even less than the pill…
