How do you stuff diapers for heavy wetters that are toddlers? My granddaughter is walking and her cloth diapers are so bulky she can’t get her legs together

Yes, I used them and then I stopped using them, but I'm using them again because I'm potty training my little girl so I use them if we're gonna go out of the house for a short period of time, once we're back in the house I let her go diaper free.

Receiving blankets are too bulky for my pockets. I think because my baby is tiny and still on the smallest rise setting on most diapers. I do use one for overnight, wrapped on baby. I did cut one for boosters over my geffen inserts. I love repurposing!

@@kellie5138 basically a smaller insert to "boost" the absorbency without adding a bunch of bulk.

The large 100% cotton receiving blankets holds about 1 cup of water when I did a absorbancy test just now. It became super heavy though but would work... I am just starting cloth diapers with a stash of 4 from #Anmababy.

Does anyone know if you were to cut a flannel recieving blanket in half and sew them into newborn inserts if they would be easy to wash? Im not sure how many layers it would make and of course unsewn it would wash the easiest but would it be much different than any other cotton insert or like a prefold?

I see lots of things advertised as receiving blankets. Like from muslin cloths to the thick ones from the hospital. Is there a specific fabric you are talking about when you say receiving blanket?

If you dont want to deal with threads falling out then definately sew. If its 100% cotton flannel it will fray lots

Rachel if you want you can go to Joan and buy a doodle fabric it’s a stretchy cotton if you cut it won’t fray 😊❤️good luck

Sew or use pinking shears, flannel is woven, it will frey.
