That's sad. Even as a LTC person, I will not be giving my money to any business that doesn't recognize a right without government permission! Just went to a restaurant with a sign. Made sure they knew I would not eat there and I would make sure everyone I know will be informed.

If you believe in and follow Christ then His words should be be obeyed in civil matters. The individual state limitations are the "render unto Caesar" examples that Christ instructs us to follow. After listening to all this and hearing just how muddled-up everything is regarding THIS law, THAT law..the ‘difference between being allowed to carry with an LTC vs “ONLY” Constitutional Carry, all these differences do nothing but serve THE LAWYERS, the judicial system as a whole. Just like most everything in life, instructions for virtually all in life has come down to being written BY lawyers using legal “jargon” making life more confusing and making it HARDER for the average person to defend themselves without having to worry about “what law is this, which law is THAT..can I do this or that”. The ONLY ‘law’ there SHOULD be is the one that says “iF you’re not a menace to society, if you’re a decent, honorable and have shown NOT to be a threat to others, etc, etc then THE Constitution AND our Bill of Rights should be ALL that’s required because it worked for so long BEFORE lawyers and the “legal system” decided there’s something more in it for them. Read virtually ANYTHING these days, there are disclosures, legal disclaimers and even the ads ON THE TV/RADIO include the “fine print”. It’s a messed-up situation that could be a lot better. ‘Simpler’ is almost ALWAYS better. Y’all KNOW what I mean..whether or not you’re willing to admit it is another story.

There is some inaccurate information here. Under 30.05, a gun buster sign won't work. The sign needs to have exact or similar language to the statute and in both English and Spanish. The sign can't be a sharpie on 8x5 piece of paper unless the wording "appears in contrasting colors with block letters at least one inch in height." It must also be in a conspicuous place like 30.06 and .07. I love you guys, but wanted to correct the record so property owners don't get the wrong idea.

Last year FBI was invoking 23 and 30 day delays on NICS checks, claiming that the Texas government was closed. It was dissembling. DPS, which participated in data input to the NICS system, was never closed. In Arkansas if you present your carry license when buying a gun, all you have to do is fill out the 4473, skip the background check, and walk out with your shiny new hole puncher. It really makes things easier. It’s also handy if you’re pulled over for a minor traffic violation because most cops will feel safer knowing that you’re trained. Strange that my anti-gun state of Washington has less restrictive concealed carry in some respects. To get a CPL (concealed pistol license) you fill out an application, get fingerprinted, pay your $50 fee, and wait for it to come in the mail. Open carry is legal without a permit. Stores and the like can post no pew signs, but there's no law against carrying in those places even if they have a sign. The most they can do is ask you to leave and report you for trespassing if you don't. If you're concealed carrying they're not going to know anyway. In any case, apart from government buildings and the like (the usual suspects), I never see such signs where I live (maybe in Puget Sound you see them).. Otoh, we have the mag ban (which applies to all guns, including pistols including standard double stack glock mags and the like), safe storage law, red flag law, safety course to purchase or transfer, can't carry near protests, etc.

Federal law prohibits gun possession in school zones (not just schools themselves, but also areas outside) unless one is licensed to carry in that jurisdiction (state). While the state such as Texas is not likely to push that issue in a good defensive shooting in such area for somebody who is not licensed, Feds can still choose to prosecute.

Finally,how does Texas or U.S. Law Shield compare with USCCA benefits and legal representation? Thanks, Wil Van Heusen, member of Texas Law Shield

Do you lose some rights by getting an LTC as well? For example, does an LTC have to hand their LTC to an LEO when they get pulled over whereas a non-LTC would not? I think this would be a more interesting topic that few have covered.
@stratolestele7611
@stratolestele7611 2 күн бұрын
You don't lose anything as I see it, and you have a lot to gain. The moment a LEO sees an LTC card, he relaxes a, bit knowing you're not a felon. But yes, you 'should' present your LTC. It's not a law, but you could possibly have it revoked if you don't present. Basically, the LTC, all else being equal, puts you in a higher standing with the LEO. Who wouldn't want that?

I get pulled over. I put my hands out the window. Left has license and insurance. Right has receipt for what I'm carrying. Usually, i get this reaction. They say thanks and get outta here. Or. You carry a 22. Boy, you need help. 😅😅 Be safe out there guys.

Thank you for this video! Question, if a person was convicted of a felony in Texas 20 years ago BUT, they completed 5 years probation, the offense was not put on their record (background checks always comes up clear). The person has obtained a passport and also legally purchased a gun at a gun show. Can this person carry in Texas? Thank you!!

My LTC was revoked for some mental health stuff when I was a preteen that I didn’t list because it wasn’t like court ordered or anything. Not even sure how the State of Texas new about that, but this all happened around the time HB1927 was gaining traction, so a family friend who’s an attorney advised me not to appeal, that it would be easier to wait on Constitutional Carry. I’ve thought about it, I’m in a much better place now than I was 10 years ago and I’m not a prohibited possessor, so I’m going to try to get it back, but at this point I’m told I can’t do that until June 2023. How bad is it going to be for me if I have to use my firearm and that revocation comes up in court?

One major problem. 30.06 and 30.07 signs only apply to LTC holders. So Technically someone without a LTC can carry in more places than a LTC holder.

@@rickaustin5065 its 100% true 30.06 and 30.07 say "By Licesed carrier". The signs and law were made prior to permitless carry and have never been updated. Trespass by License Holder with a Concealed Handgun No LTC, legally it dosent apply, only 30.05 applies to permitless carriers.
@kfelix2934
@kfelix2934 Күн бұрын
@@rickaustin5065 he's is correct 30.06/07 are for LTC ( license is the keyword ), 30.05 is for un-license carrier. The key wording being unlicensed. If certain business want to ban license and permitless carry, they would need a 46.03 which just bans firearms by a business covered by the law for that sign. So if I go to HEB and they have a 30.07 and I'm permitless, I would not be inviolation but if i was licensed I would be . Strange In both cases, I would probably be trespassed.

Honestly. No, why carry? The state makes it a minefield of serious offenses if you make a mistake. Boom, now you missed a sign and you’re being charged and are losing gun rights. Now a lawyer (like you guys) get to gut me financially to defend myself, for exercising a right that the plain text of the constitution already says that I have.

@@williamhenszlein5032 I still don’t even know what your trying to say. A- you should not need a license to use a right B- if your required too, it should be free because it’s a right. If your state doesn’t give the constitutional right to protect yourself and require you to take classes, fill out a form, get fingerprints, and wait for approval it should be on their dime. It has nothing to do with the amount of money at all. I don’t care if it costs 1$, it’s the point you have to pay to protect yourself

Seems to me that any knife should fall under the category of "arms" in the 2nd Amendment. Somehow government has run roughshod over our right to carry folding pocket knives of a "certain" size. I have a 3 1/2" folding Buck knife with a pocket clip. In San Bernardino, CA I was told pocket knives up to 3 1/2" were legal even if fully concealed. Meanwhile in neighboring Riverside, CA the limit was 3 1/4" if concealed in a pocket. I have not looked up the laws to verify what I was told, but I don't live in CA anymore anyway. But still... when the Bowie knife was king of the Southwestern United States just less than 200 years ago I don't see a reason to think a 3 1/2" blade is weapon that the Founding Father's could not have imagined and therefore in "need" of extra regulation. Are we ever going to address knife regulations in this country? They vary too much from one city and state to the next. Gravity knives, switchblades. OTF (out the front) knives, spring-assist knives... The restrictions on knives are also unconstitutional. They should be abolished.
