That was fun for my son, he's still on book 1, more than halfway through. Love these flashbacks, even if I am the only one who was alive in 2002, watching Gensomaden Saiyuki! 🤣

This is just fun and very engaging way to learn and repeat words. I know the Pijama tongue twister just now. I also love the bloopers, make it feel more genuine.

For all the Monogatari series fans, there's obviously this one: 斜め七十七度の並びで泣く泣くいななくナナハン七台難なく並べて長眺め And of course the neko version where all the "na"s turn into "nya"s :)

There this song by MONO NO AWARE that I recently discovered called "かむかもしかもにどもかも" ("kamukamo shikamo nidomokamo) that entirely consists of tongue twisters. It's very fun and catchy song that even features four of the 早口言葉 mentioned in this video!

This reminds me of one of the motivations I have for learning. I want to read Nioisin’s Monogatari series which (I’ve heard) is so full of word play, it’s impossible or very difficult to fully appreciate the series with subtitles or translation

@@japanesefromzero this one is a bit risqué but you can have some fun with it, how about 'She sells sea shells on the seashore' a lot of people have difficulty with this one try it on your Japanese friends

Yes! another George and Keiko! I appreciate the effort, but I think it looks better without the upscaling, theres something about the old grainy low resolution that adds a lot of nostalgia feeling
