The players of my youth. Oh what great memories. The sweetness of baseball with the innocence of youth. And all that winning.

I was there at the stadium. Every year on the first day when tickets go on sale I get tickets for 2 different games and just so happened to pick this date before they even announced they were doing. It was an amazing moment to see all the great players I grew up watching all on one field

think about it......... you know how today we think of Babe Ruth, Dimagio, Cy Young, Hank Aaron, Lou Gehrig, etc, a 100 years from now those people will think of Mo the same way. That is why we should feel so lucky that we watched him play in our life times. In an era of so many tainted stars with steroids, Mo preserved dignity and class in Baseball. As a Yankee fan I want to thank not only the other Yankee fans that supported Mo in his career, but also all the fans in the country of his

It has been reported that several SF Giants players were just in awe and shock at the pomp and circumstance involved in this. Many asked Pitching Coach Dave Righetti( since he was a former Yankee) about it. the rumor is that he replied :" this is how the Yankees do things, las and respect."

that was a real yankees team. when i think of the yankees, i think of those guys that came out. the true evil empire. even though i hated that team in the past bcuz they kept winning, i appreciate these guys for makin me hate a real yankees team so much. when a team gets hated for winning all the time, they are doing it right. that was a true yankee squad right there, the 4 straight rings.

Those teams were deadly 1 though 9. Knoblauch at 2nd, Jeter at SS, Brochius at 3rd Martinez at 1st. Man.. that infield is stupid. Then you have O Neil, Williams and whoever in the outfield... like jesus..

I was present during the David come perfect game in 99 and that was also yogi Berra day first day back after being fired by the Boss. Also the anniversary of the only perfect game in World Series history No other team in sports has the history pomp amount of championships and location like the Yankees. Brooklyn and Manhattan died and moved to California the pinstripes are magical.

Bernie Williams has got some big big shoulders. It was always the legs that were thin. Bernie was the main hitter for the yanks between 94-03: very fat numbers during this period along with good defense.
