"Sad news out of the UK today. Jules Burt was found buried beneath a pile of Penguins. Local miners worked for hours to uncover the body. Amazingly, he was found with a smile on his face."

strangely i strongly suspect most booklovers would prefer dying like this rather than in say a care home a zillion miles away from their beloved books.........

Ahh, that little glimpse of Duggie the Digger and His Friends by Michael Prescott hit me like a hammer! Haven’t thought of that book in many years. My copy is probably in my mums attic somewhere. Nostalgic cover that I recognised instantly. Thanks for sharing another great haul!

Matt Hill strikes again! Some nice looking stuff there. Been looking for a decent Puffin of 'Heartsease' by Peter Dickinson for a while without success.

Fantastic. Truth be told when a collector says " final , no more " we fellow collectors say " hmmm " .Just a bit of humor 😂. Read lots of Puffin in my young days . Most fiction and kid stuff. Please don't mention english lit poetry ( O level ). Some of the stuff there ....was...😮😢( my bias opinion ). Seeing much good stuff here . Good News at 8:46 " A New English Bible " Would have love to have had that in "Religious Instruction " class. We had the KJV . 10:13 Arthur C Clarke . The F/F Books are now hard to come by . Seeing much classics.Seeing SF/ Fantasy.The Book Ship The Logos is in my country. Mostly religious book, but you do get the odd stuff now and then . Thanks for the video .

Thanks Sylvan, there was quite a mixture within this lot. It's going to take months to get everything sorted but that's fine as I enjoy the sorting process 🙂

No mate, there is very little being published today that would drag me into a high street bookshop. I much prefer secondhand.

Do you ever find anything interesting left between the pages of old books?
@johnsilva913918 күн бұрын
Yes I know I do. That's an added bonus when you find a used book at a good price and then find an extra piece of scrap inside that may be 50 or more years old. I think everyone has had that experience.
