Yet another WCW dumpster fire from year 2000!

Wcw in the year 2000 was a complete dumpsterfire. Everything was strange and bad with weird gimmick matches, weird storylines and weird results. Hogan loosing to Vampiro was perhaps the weirdest result from the night. This truly was a Vince Russo inspired nightmare but was it the worst WCW episode of all time?

@@KoolKeithProductions No idea why she didn't go to WWE, I just remembered she stopped appearing on WCW TV before WWE bought them. She was on the indie circuit after WCW, was off/on on TNA under a bunch of names, did a short run for XPW as a valet for Vic Grimes and did a few shows for Shimmer too. She got hurt a lot in TNA, took a lot of crazy bumps that resulted in injuries that forced her to retire in 2011. Even to the point of suing them, which was settled out of court in 2013. She had a lot of linger effects from CTE that affected her day-to-day life and it played a part in her sad decision take her own life in 2021. Her brain was donated to Boston U for CTE analysis according to her wishes.

Let me get this straight, on this show alone, Russo gets the better of not only Kevin Nash, but Scott Steiner? That's another terrible thing about Russo's WCW, he almost always made the wrestlers look inferior to himself. I can buy Vince McMahon doing that, he was at least as big physically than most of his talent, but that weed Russo? Please.

I've said to people elsewhere and my Dad about this very thing. Him besting Nash and Steiner, beating Ric Flair, becoming WCW Champion, and having a fucking War Games match revolve around him shows that he turned WCW into his own personal Wrestling themed Self-Insert power fantasy. Juicy Vinnie Mac is one thing, Scrawny Vinnie Ru is another.

10:09 Well, that is what the first steel cage in professional wrestling looked like. It was held like that in the middle of the ring and usually, there would be held by ropes from the 4 ring posts holding the cage in place. The ropes would start at the top of the ring posts and be tied onto each cage side. The original cages were chicken wire either wrapped around the ring, or constructions prepped up inside the ropes that resembled something of an MMA octagon serving the sole purpose of no escape and no interference during the match. The earliest steel cage bout was between Jack Bloomfield and Count Rossi in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 25th, 1937 where it can only be won by pinfall or knockout. Of course, wrestling back then was presented as a faux sport, and a no-escape bout inside chicken wire or fencing would be used as a brutal way to end a rivalry in the old days of professional wrestling. The cages wouldn’t be utilized for spectacular spots until a few decades later.

I’m not fluent enough in the era but there is probably some gold bad WWE TV in the late 2000s/late 2010s

Seems like they were always missing Nash but really determined to eventually get it on camera with that red liquid falling from the ceiling all over him.

I have never watched a wcw show start to finish I was watching wwf at the time, but I may have to apologize to Tony khan I didn’t think it was possible to book a more cartoonish nonsensical wrestling show than dynamite but this looks like a complete train wreck

People glamorize the Attitude Era but if you take away Rock, Austin, HHH, Taker, Kane and Foley… this show is what it was. Go watch the undercard during the Attitude Era.

My title reign continues. Don"t think you'll find anything from 2000 worse than that Thunder episode. Maybe something from 1993-1996 WCW?

What a drama show. Hogans nephew could do pro wrestling though. Some good moves

I'm pretty sure Terry started teasing his retirement even before he had a wrestling match.

3:55. Crowbar, Daffney, and David Flair were actually some of the most entertaining wrestlers in WCW at the time.

BRO WTH!! I tried putting this so far in the back of my 10 yr old mind. My brain literally hurts watching this. From 95 to about Early 00 I didn’t miss one nitro … by this point it was like 8:30 pm and I’m outside playing with my friends and I’m like ahhh forget it I’m gonna continue to stay outside with my homies. I had completely checked out from WCW. It had gotten so bad.
