Ok Alvin, I am all over this, I was a drip coffee guy. Then a French Press, now a Chemex the pour over. But I am all about this, great for trips and they thought of everything. Thanks for the heads up😉☕️☕️

I love this, but the problem is The rubber ring that keeps the grinds out emit microplastics when heated. The whole reason for getting a French press is the mesh filter and the ring that surrounds it is metal, devoid of man-made plastics and thus the ingestion of microplastics.

I hand grind coffee for my guided clients every trip I take them on... I've broken glass french presses before and that makes for a disappointing trip! Looking forward to picking one of these up when they are available for guides!

Also consider the stanely french press at almost half price. It does have a stainless liner, metal lid that will leak if leaned over, and doesn't have nonslip. Does keep coffee warm for quite awhile.

How is it? Does it leave grounds in your coffee or is it too hard to press down?
@CplMAC11443 ай бұрын
@@Legend_Face I really like it. Far fewer grounds than any other I’ve tried. I just let the grounds steep for 5 min then press gently over the crust. Don’t stir and break up the crust, it keeps the fine stuff underneath. The valve they put on it is key.

When I make coffee with a regular press then put it in my Yeti, I have to cool it down or else it’ll have the burned taste due to the Yeti keeping it too hot. I can see this being an issue with the actual press being a Yeti.

This looks a little nicer than my Coffee Gator French Press, but it’s three times the price. I’ve recently found that putting a paper filter under the mesh filter keeps the grounds out of the finished product and improves taste. I’m not sure if it prevents over extraction though since I always pour immediately after brewing.

@@AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing I had another Brand a few years back, had to replace one canteen after 1 month because the natural Springwater I was collecting apparently caused rusting in the weld lines on a very very popular competitor. Just saying that was like 5 years ago.

Hi, Alvin thanks sharing your opinion! my concern is what recommendation to clean and eliminate coffee stain buildup on the inside wall after a long use?
@Cousin_Gregg5 ай бұрын
That filter system is worth the cost of admission. Without it, your coffee either gets bitter or the grounds make their way into your cup. Once again, YETI delivers.

DO NOT BUY! Even with course ground, the screen is waaaaay too fine causing the plunger to seal. You literally have to lean on it with all your body weight to get it to creep down.
