Thanks. Great idea for a family BOB. I can easily see it as the one bag to grab and then the rest of the family could have smaller packs to carry their personal necessities.

Nice bag!! Ladies this is the bag the Hubby needs to carry for your family!! I love Yeti as a brand. Keep up the great work. You and yours are always in my prayers.

I bet you can use it for river crossing drills if it's water proof. Looks like you could turn it inside out as an air signal panel too.

Nice bag. Seatbelt pads would give some cushion to those straps, they’re Velcro and can be purchased to match the bag without taking away from the high quality look of the bag.

I have a North Face Basecamp Duffle from the 90's - it came with nicely padded backpack straps as well as a padded shoulder strap. Not waterproof due to the zipper, but the the bag material itself is. I've thrown it down on the ground and changed in and out of ski boots standing inside it in snowy and muddy parking lots many times. Good bag and going strong 25 plus years. Yeti looks great too but so expensive.

I’ve got one too in like a purple colorway from my pops. Thing is so sturdy and large. The handles and stitching with the bulky zippers ; quality like that isn’t made anymore

Great review. I believe you get what you pay for. This bag over a 20 year period is a great value.

At 62 and with the balance of a toddler, as nice as it looks, I don't see a bag that size in my future. While it may be an excellent INCH bag, I've got some totes I use for that purpose, since a bugout on foot is not a realistic prospect. Younger, more hale members of the battalion might like a bag like this; it looks like a good Scoutmaster bag. You might give it a little more rigidity by adding a PVC (or PEX) frame, with rounded elbows preventing any tearing. Though adding weight, crosspieces might be used to compartmentalize the bag a little better.

It wouldn’t make a good BOB for me. But it would make a good boat bag. Something that you can keep some essentials in and it will stay dry as a bone. Also it would be good to keep on the back of a pickup truck that doesn’t have a cover until somebody walks by and steals it. My truck bag is basically a dry bag with straps in the configuration of a true backpack. Looks like the same material as the bag you demonstrated plus it has a mesh padded side close to your body. I think Yeti was trying to make the bag that I have. Lol My bag is much much cheaper than Yeti but then again most bags are. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

too bed there wasn't a removable divider in that. aftermarket shoulder pads are a must if you're rucking that beast...and ones with a chest strap on it as well. how hard is the bottom? i would want something with a bit of strength to it...

I have a 50 and it’s great, but only if you are frequently using it near water. If not, then there are plenty of cheaper and better options.

The difficulty I have with this is that when full it is going to be heavy. Really heavy. That is absolutely fine if you have motorised transport. And it would be fine to carry it a short distance using the shoulder straps. I am really not convinced that with what looks like very limited padding in the shoulder straps, no frame or stiffeners and no waist belt, it is going to get not a lot of fun very, very quickly. I could easily use this for travel but as a Bug Out Bag that I have to ruck... Not so much.

I used this exact bag for about 4 weeks straight. 5-11 miles a day almost everyday. & I had 0 issues. It held up great. Maybe about 40-55lbs of gear. No issue, stayed dry, no zipper issues. Things a beast!

Should I get the YETI Panga or the Orlieb Duffle? Yeti is definitely more expensive but the Ortlieb looks very promising. Would love your thoughts and opinions on helping me make my decision.

Ortlieb has a longer warranty at 5 years but I've seen too many complaints of the headache of using it.

Just use that deployment suitcase thing they like to issue out (if they still do). Something tells me that bag is gonna leave you hating life devil. Water sports, yeah, awesome bag. Bug out...... um, no

I want to add a nice water proof duffel to my collection of bags for daily use, outdoors (hunting/camping etc.), and survival. I'm stuck between this 75L Panga or The Kuiu Kodiak 3000. Anyone have experience with both?
