I think that whoever had that idea made a right blunder. Arnie is a cool actor but I think he wasn't a good fit for that role. Remember the animated Batman series? Mr. Freeze was a skinny guy while Arnie had a well built buff body.

Incorrect, Cause Yeti is a Large Species of Unknown Bears, according to DNA Studies, definitely not related to Gigantopithecus. Gigantopithecus died out around 100,000 years ago, and have no descendants living today, shown by DNA findings in Gigantopithecus fossil, meaning to say, they are long extinct, just like the Woolly Mammoth, Sabertooth Tiger, Mastodon, Dire Wolves, and Giant Ground Sloths.

I believe that they might be a descendent of the of the Nephilim that survived the Deluge and/or Neanderthals that evolved to isolate themselves from the rest of the homosapien race/early humans.
