Hi, Linda. Thanks for your kind words. Regarding your question, how new are you to clawhammer style? If you're really solid with the "bum ditty" and don't mind changing the tuning of your banjo, go for it. I can provide the tab I have for thi song if you'd like. However, if you're brand new, I would recommend choosing a clawhammer teacher (there are several great beginner teachers on KZbin that have free lessons uploaded). Theres nothing Christian or any such thing about this music. Its roots are in ancient Africa mixed with european Celtic influence and who knows what else.
