chromoly chassis R with a cr500 or 80-100hp equivalent electric motor for the instant torque, pretty happy any bore trx250r though. I also loved my yfz480, 5th gear jumps were dope on that, I do love 4 strokes as well. I should note I have not tried a streetbike swap, YET. I want to try a streetbike swap for the maintenance intervals being waaay longer. Should sound dope because I generally live on the rev limiter.

Love the videos brother. i was just in Philly picking up a 2017 yfz450r. I live in long island but found a nice bike in pa so it was worth the trip. Doing an mx build. Just got in fuel customs intake, vortex, and yoshi so plan on putting that in first then moving to swapping the suspension over from old 2008. First bike with efi so should be interesting with ais delete and all. Keep up the vids I enjoy watching. Have a good one.

one actually came up for sale near me. 2006 yfz450 with a yz250 motor. it was a little clapped though so i didnt wanna buy it but it was still really cool. another really gpod freestyle motocross movie is called Unchained. its on amazon prime for free to watch and it shows the rise of travis pastrana and ryan deegan in freestyle motocross. i watched it twice because it was so good.

The only way to make a Yamaha fast lol just kidding! My dad and I made a a CR500 project about 10 years ago. we actually stretched a blaster frame to accept a1985 CR500 motor. Had a custom built exhaust built from FTZ stretched the rear swing arm about 10 inches and made a sand drag with 22" sand paddles. Battled many a banshees in the sand. It was very fast and I took many bikes out the hole and left most behind getting sand blasted he he.. Motor was way too much for the blaster suspension. Was like riding a bob sled on crack. Needless to say was a fun build with my dad who has since passed and was the welder on the project. RIP POP we had a great time building and beating peoples ass on that machine.!

My aunt has a Blaster that’s been sitting for the past 8 years or so. I’m tearing it down to the frame and restoring it with some customization thrown in the build. I hope to finish it by mid March

KX125 is a good motor to swap in. Rated at 41 horse and reliable. They made a bunch, and they are affordable.

I’ve watched all your videos since day one, and I’m reviving an old thread here. We’ve seen you so many builds before brother, but you should change it up and bring us a hybrid. YZ250 motor in a yfz frame, CRF hybrid in a 400ex frame, something!

That is nice quad and why don't you do some on 4 stroke engines instead of putting 2 stroke on 4 stroke frames and I would put any 2 stroke in 4 stroke frame and I starting to do my own project of mini quad with 250 yzf or crf125f motor in them with full mods parts and I'm going to do my spare old raptor 250 with yzf 250f motor in them and looks sick with lsr frame,a arms, swingarm and have ordered 8 set of tires and rims of beadlock with omg performance and has lexx mxe with FMF powerbomb header and it be so mint tomride mini quad around the dunes be hell lot of fun

i reckon its ok but my raptor 350 chassis with long travel an elkas pimpin a yz 250f motor will smoke it the yfz chassis is too heavy for the single cylinder 2 stroke to pull..... throw a banshee motor in it if ya want it to rip on 2 stroke power an save that awesome 250r motor for a gokart build a quad build gonna destroy the trans

It's been a while since I've worked on a quadracer but when I restored mine, I got all of the OEM parts from bikebandit.com or motosport.com and they had pretty much everything. This was like 15 years ago though... so could be a totally different story.

I had to play with it a little bit but I think I got gearing down. After a bunch of tuning she has no bogg pulls hard from the hole and a nice even aggressive pull all the way threw!
