YG300 Mini LED Video Projector - Let's test it out!

The cost of shipping a flat panel LED TV to the Philippines was out of the question as it would more than likely cost more than the purchase price of the TV (Black Friday deal last year).
To cut costs, we gave our 55" 4K TV to our daughter and bought the YG300 mini projector to entertain us until we decide we actually need a new TV, which we would buy in the country.

As far as the REVIEW: I would say GOOD. For best results with the YG300 it has to be completly dark for the colors to pop. It is still watchable with low lighting conditions, so watching the YG300 mini projector during the day is most likely out of the question, unless you blacked out the windows.
The picture quality is I would say around 720p(ish). When small words apear on the screen, they are pretty pixelized, but I did test subtitles on a movie and I was able to read them.
Don't expect ultimate quality with this UNDER $50 mini projector.
The good thing about buying products on Amazon is that if it doesn't work for you, you can always ship it back for a full refund. For now this will work for us.

connect a headphone jack from laptop to device.... looks like its set up as an alternative to headphones... but just use headphones or the laptop for sound... the key issue is to project the picture larger

You can likely buy a TV in the Phillipines... vs Ship One... heck, they are all made in China or Korea which is next door... Pic is good and BETTER IF USE A GOOD BACKGROUND (ie really white). You can connect your Chromebook to a monitor or TV with an HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, or VGA port. ... Connect your Chromebook to a monitor At the bottom right, select the time. Select Settings . In the "Device" section, select Displays. Select Mirror Built-in Display. This option will appear when your monitor is connected.

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.
