I get your point regarding the leader. But a good leader needs to be proactive, not only wait for others to do it for him. You can see that the others asked and he was there just waiting to see what happened. He should have approached the boy that knew English to help him not just stand around. And you can see that other members were more proactive than him. By the way, Jihoon, who took over is now one of treasure leaders, here you can see why.

Forgot to say... when Midam left, it's not like they can't leave to see their family, it's just that as trainees they have rules. If you are going to leave the building or the dorms you have to ask permission or tell someone. Or at least not get caught ( later on treasure members tell stories of how they find ways to go to the store without permission) But in Midam case, he just left and didn't report or came back when told to until later that day. So sadly he had to leave 😢, treasure box always makes me cry 😭

I love the point you bring up actually! I think he could have been more active despite the language barrier like you said. He could have took more of an initiative still. I understand too it being his first time leading not knowing the language he probably didn’t know what to do because of all the pressure. I’m sure he will learn though

Yeah, I can see why it was a big deal. Especially YG is looking after them like a parent and their parents are trusting him to keep them safe. Also I think Midam is just not so social that I’m sure he wanted to but didn’t

I think it would be hard for Midam to be an idol in a group if he struggles that much in socializing with his members and with the trainee life. To be fair, you are even more isolated when you become famous. It’s best for his mental health to choose another path than the idol path in my opinion

Sarah I think you are right! If he struggles with that with the people are suppose to be the closest to him then he would struggle even more as an idol! But I love that he chose to not be an idol and took a different path. That’s absolutely okay 😄
