Nice review! I just got my R9 the other day and got to shoot it yesterday. Super impressed and hopefully ATF releases my phantom 22 any day now as well. Impressed with YHM, will definitely have to keep this can in mind if I go for a dedicated pistol suppressor.

Sounds like you are good taste 😁 That R9 is one of my favorite cans from YHM… solid, solid choice 👌

Due to lack of having interlocking baffle stack, any challenges cleaning the inner tube as carbon bonds on the side walls?
@CalebDowningАй бұрын
The core actually works as a scraper to clean out the inside of the tube. Pretty simplistic and functional design.

@@CalebDowning That is good to know. Thank you.

Let me ask a question/questions. When you are shooting subsonic 300 blackout. Have you noticed that the first shot( I’m assuming first round pop) goes higher than the rest? I’ve been seeing anywhere from 2-6 inches higher on the first shot vs subsequent shots. I’m thinking air temperature has something to do with it. I’m thinking about using some of that wire pulling gel to see if it will eliminate this phenomenon. How long will the gel last if I put it in before a shot?

Interesting question 🤔 I haven’t noticed that substantial of a shift on my cold bore/suppressor shots. I’ll have to note that next time I go out. You may be in to something 🤷♂️ The wire pulling gel will last about a full mag, depending on how much you put in the can.

Any chance of reviewing any Witt machine cans?

We’ll see if we can get ahold of them 🤞

Any major reasons to get this can over the R9?
@CalebDowning2 ай бұрын
The only real thing this one has over the R9 is its weight and serviceability.

For the Beretta, did you use the factory piston or did you switch it out for a fixed barrel spacer?
@CalebDowning2 ай бұрын
I used the factory piston and spring.

@CalebDowning thanks! have you tried this on any other pistol hosts? How did they run?

@@CalebDowning thanks, how is the fit and finish of the silencer? are you happy with it compared to other cans?
@CalebDowning2 ай бұрын
@kungfupandas1 I’ve used it on a couple other of my pistols and haven’t run into any cycling issues. Just be sure to keep the piston lubed and it’ll run.
@CalebDowning2 ай бұрын
@kungfupandas1 The fit and finish is fine. I honestly just throw my cans in one but bad and they end up getting scuffed up, I treat them like tools. I am happy with them though. No noticeable manufacturing errors or imperfections.

Ok so can you use this on a 9mm ar pistol?
@CalebDowning3 ай бұрын
You “could” but I wouldn’t. This can is made with a booster and it can damage itself if you shoot it on a fixed barrel setup like an AR9.

Yes you can just get the fixed mount from yhm 40 $

@sincerehoopstar410 That can should be YHM’s flagship can. It’s quite versatile and works exceptionally well in its intended roll.
