Always a pleasure to see one of your videos. Came for the gear vids but I’ve stayed for these types of videos. Nice to see someone be real! I know a flooding home studio all too well having lived in rentals in Michigan cities with poor flood management for years. I’m regards to gear. Just recently got a motu 8m. Excited to try it out and dive into the software side.

Thank you! I was thinking back to my years in Missouri and how much more rain we got there compared to here in Denver. Here, we seem to get one of those crazy summer storms about every other year. So they're easy to push back in the memory, until the next one comes along and illustrates how bad the drainage is around here! That MOTU 8M looks really cool! That should be plenty of I/O and routing to keep you busy for a long while 😀

Hi - Great to see you again... It's good to know that you haven't suffered catastrophic damage from the apocalyptical rainfall. I've had to pack my gear in preparation for a house move so have done nothing this summer, I have bought a new desk though in readiness and started playing live again (at last)... The gear I'm lusting after is a Rhodes Mk8 - no idea what the cost is yet but I have a feeling I would use my entire savings and probably have to sell my father-in-law to medical research, so, I guess I'll soldier on with soft-synths... All the very best to you and yours... Andy

Thank you! Oh man, packing up a studio isn't exactly the most fun thing to do, is it? But putting it all back together in a new room is kinda fun, in a back-breaking, sweat pooling kind of way :D I'd seen a headline about renders of the Mk8, but I didn't understand what the significance was. Now that I look again, I didn't realize it was the first Rhodes release since they were under new management. Hopefully they release it at a price that isn't out of reach!

Thanks! I had a sump well/pump in my KC home, and that thing was both a blessing and a curse. It failed several times over the years, and that was no fun. But when it worked, it did a great job of keeping the basement dry.

@@YHRS If you have a house that relies on a well pump for your sewage and not just ground water I can imagine what a nightmare a pump failure would be! Yikes.
