Thailand Lantern Festivals refer to two festivals in Thailand: the Yi Peng Festival (Yee Peng) and the Loy Krathong Festival (Loi Krathong).
Chiang Mai will celebrate both of the lantern festivals on November 15-16, 2024, and it is the only place in Thailand where you can see both lantern festivals on the same night.
In Chiang Mai, you can enjoy the best and most famous views of thousands of lanterns being released into the sky all at once - that is Yi Peng Lantern Festival, and thousands of lotus-shaped baskets with candles and flowers floating along the rivers at night - that is Loy Krathong Festival.
In this video, let's simply know the history and origin of the two Lantern Festivals, story, celebration, traditions, and all other parts you need to know.
