I honestly think they will turn ULTY around. I keep hearing all these rumblings (with no basis), about reverse splits, blah blah. This traded down to 9.74 and bounced back with the market. The reasons I believe they turn this around: 1. Flexibility. They can remove and add whatever they see fit to help the fund. 2. They OWN the underlying shares. So for example, if a short call blows through the strike, they buy back that call, at a loss yes, but they can sell some REAL stock (which would have increased), to offset the call loss. Again, they have the flexibility to do that. 3. Diversity. Yes, the fund is comprised of volatility. But look at the different industries it holds. Very diverse as compared to just one single stock. If it does split, that sucks of course. But based on my reasons I think they get a hold of this!

Anyone buying more ULTY before the Reverse Split? ULTY have such a high Yield

That would be nice to have more stability with the NAV. Thanks

I like the adding of the Q's and AVGO! NAV has been crashing very fast here!

IMO the monthly announced "yield" is a mostly pointless and probably misleading metric since the SP changes constantly (mostly down). I prefer to keep track of my average YOC; Gives a truer picture of how my investments are performing.

A lot of people must have sold out on or after the August 5 crash so the net-amount of shares did not increase.

Awesome content as always! I am glad that YMAG appears to beat YMAX for the first time. In case you do decide to do the weighted average, I use the SUMPRODUCT formula divided by 1 to get my weighted average (I’m sure that you knew this though). Thank you again for your awesome content!

I think the recent market shakeout has people hesitant to buy anything. Might get less last minute buys this month. I am happy with anything over 35% honestly.

I think it was dumb for yieldmax priced YMAG starting price at $20. It would have been a better fund if it was started at $40-$50 per share

Ulty I bought at 13 and 14 so this and previous divident don't make up for nav erosion, so loosing in 1.5 months

It’s a risky play , it’s a fund where you “hope” those high volatility stocks pump . I don’t like it . They’ve talked about adjusting how they manage it , because they realize it’s not working. That being said I have 500 shares at $14 because I’m a dumbass.

Rod isn't ulty 1.30 away from a reverse split? I thought when these funds hit 10 they reverse split?
@Martmi292 ай бұрын
They need to do it before it hits $5. That's when it can get de-listed from certain exchanges.

@@Martmi29 ok great thanks for info. So tsly went to 5 before its split? Do you know if tsly was the only one to split so far?
@Martmi292 ай бұрын
@@frankvullo-f3g No TSLY was at $8 and change before the split. Only TSLY has done the split so far in yieldmax but Jay said they don't want the funds to hit $5 so they will do the split BEFORE it hits $5.
@frankvullo-f3g2 ай бұрын
@@Martmi29 @Martmi29 so if you take into effect all the downside you really need to commit to holding these for over a year to make financial sence do you agree?
@Martmi292 ай бұрын
@@frankvullo-f3g I agree, but the way that I do it is to buy my initial position let's say that's 100 shares, then I harvest the income until the fund is down by 80% (I price in the downside) then I will buy 5x the shares at 80% drawdown. This will cost the same dollar amount to buy 500 shares as it did the first 100. The dividend you received should be slightly more than when you got in for the first 100 shares, but your cost basis will be a lot less because you will have been receiving dividends the whole time on the way down. That's the only way I find these make sense. Also, do these with many funds simultaneously instead of all in one or two.
