Yikes! How to Tame Polypropylene Hair | Monster High G3 | Clawdeen Wolf Restyle & Review [RE-UPLOAD]

The biggest tip I can give is the amount of conditioner and product you use won't matter on polypropylene that will prevent damage, it's using combs. Combs pull in the fabric synthetic hair fibre which causes it to frizz. Conditioner helps soften it but too much can make it all poofier. Using human sized brushes and brushing through, stopping at any resistance or pull and continuing and out. The tips is what you want to be careful with.

I would love a tutorial on how to make a dolls hair pattern tighter or smaller? You did a great job with clawdeen but in the Nickelodeon animated series her curl pattern looks much tighter and I wish Mattel went for that on the doll as well. Great video!

You are such an amazing resource for advice on styling doll hair. I've made custom dolls for a few years now but I've always re-rooted them with nylon or made yarn wigs for them. I'm brand new to collecting, though, because I just fell in love with the new Monster High dolls, and I have zero experience styling saran and polypropylene hair. thank you for making this !! i haven’t gotten any g3 dolls yet as i’m fairly new to collecting dolls as an adult and wasn’t quite sure certain things like worked. i’m primarily a my little pony collector and honestly, i don’t know much about poly but i think they’ve been using some of that in g5 (alongside straight up *molded* hair now which is just disturbing) so like.: even prior to me getting monster high g3 this is gonna be so helpful, thank you for making this!

I tried straightening my Clawdeen's hair and it melted her front pink hair piece :( I only had it on her hair for a few seconds. I didn't use any product, maybe that was the problem? or could it have been the temperature of the flat iron? Thanks for re-uploading, I've been learning a lot from your videos!

Sorry for the late reply! Oh no! You melted your dolls hair, I’m so sorry to hear that. 😕 yes as the person above stated, make sure its a temperature controlled flat iron, try it on the lowest setting at first & while product isn’t required, always spray the section with water before flat ironing. Hopefully this helps for the future. Happy restyling! ❤️☮️

My Clawdeen’s face and everything was amazing, but the brown part of her hair was extremely frizzy, it was hidden when looking at the box

ok idk if it’s js my doll or what but I do have the Indonesia variant of clawdeen and her fur coat thing didn’t have any ties holding it more holding it close there was only a tag holding the paper hanger to the box and the coat was tied with rubber bands

I’m not sure if the hair can be dyed. I’ve actually never tried dying polypropylene. You could get some Rit dye and try it out though. Thats the one people swear by. 🙂

i did exactly what u did with my curling iron on the lowest setting and i still melted her hair i didn’t use curling cream tho does the curl cream help prevent the hair from melting and i had the hair wet

I tried to curly my dolls hair with perm rolls but didnt work. Can you use a curling iron on every doll hair?

I use steam on mine with perm rollers. It works well with poly hair. But seran hair is thicker and heavier, and it doesn't hold as well.

restaurants throw away food if its "not fresh" when there is a lot of hungry people. I think you should be more upset at big companies cus they waste a LOT of stuff.
