Great piece. Love the Scottie Pippen drop in, classic. You are sucking me into the deep rabbit hole. I am still kicking around the idea of getting a faster bike to use along with my extremely comfortable not light Trek Domane Endurance bike. Question - if I am super busy with work / like is it worth going this route or is your Giant Propel for example a better overall value? I live very close near a Trek factory store and I can get Giant from a store closer that does my maintenance work. I am holding off a purchase until the Spring.
@PatrickLino10 ай бұрын
I'm of the mindset of spending as much you can (or want) on a frame, if it's going to be your primary road bike. The best value for bikes are not from any major brands. However, by and large major brands will perform better. And no affordable Chinese bike can replace the desire for something like a Giant Propel. Especially if that's what you "really" want.
@hms35010 ай бұрын
@@PatrickLinomassive appreciation. I do think there is a good niche opportunity perhaps for a local bike shop to support the non major brands. I do not have the energy or the skills these days for the DIY. Perhaps I will see you on the roads in Chicago in the spring to pick your brain if cool, I do some of the group rides.

Got pretty much the same bike thanks to you. And it's really fast and good! I can tell that I am really excited to ride this bike everyday compared to my former bike. A couple of upgrades here and there would make this bike my go to for everything (endurance rides, cafe rides, races, climbing). Just a question tho, what would you suggest, SRAM Rival AXS or Shimano 105 Di2? I currently have LTwoo eR9. Tho the groupset is really good, I think LTWoo is not there yet compared to Shimano and SRAM. Force/Ultegra is out of the question atm because of budget
