That laser looked extremely dangerous. That would easily destroy someones vision in a microsecond. Even though this is China, I can't believe the government doesn't regulate them more closely. I had a college professor who permanently damaged his eyesight when an experiment with lasers he was working on went wrong, and the laser was a lot less powerful than that.

N3TL0D3R The thing with inexpensive Chinese lasers is they tend to have no infrared filters. This makes them significantly cheaper to make and possibly stronger proportional to their laser output because no strength is lost to the filter. The unfortunate side effect is IR light tends to scatter more than the visible spectrum, drift outside the culminated beam. This can be a hazard because if you point the laser towards someone, not even right at them, the strong Ir light could be entering their eyes causing permanent damage to their retinas. To make things worse since they cannot see it they also will have no blink reflex to protect their vision.

Lewis___ Its been several years since I looked into lasers myself so what I know is possibly outdated. At least back the to legally get a laser of that power you needed a special license and the laser would have to meet US regulations including having safety features like the IR filters and even a key lockout which I doubt the laser in this video has. So if you are a US resident you cannot get that laser in this country legally.

I’m an old lady with a son on his way over there to work with some longtime Chinese friends who now run or own their own companies...and *I’m* learning Chinese! A few of my sons friends and their families are actually tutoring me over WeChat...and you’re right, American’s who don’t know about this app that does everything except go to the bathroom for you-are missing out. I’m hoping to be able to visit my son, but my health hasn’t been that great, so we’ll see. I’m having a blast right now just learning the language, getting to know these incredible kids and their families, (“Grandma Lili”, a few years older than me and a retired Professor from Guangzhou, has also been teaching me calligraphy and Chinese brush painting-LOVE IT! I DO have a problem with her insisting that Tiger paws and elephant ears will cure my kidney failure...🙄😖. As her granddaughter says though-you can’t convince her of anything different...) Got a couple of questions-is Twitch easier than KZbin to do videos from in China? Even these kids who supposedly have special permission to access US sites (because of their businesses), have been having more problems in the past few months than they can ever remember. I’ve also had some problems with WeChat-as have others here in the US using WeChat either for business or stay in touch with family and friends over there. And then there’s wechat’s cache on phones and my iPad...we do a LOT of video chats, audio chats and the kids send me a lot of pictures, PDFs and audiobooks; my cache can easily reach 5-10 GIGS after just 3-4 hours of tutoring, practicing, and generally just chatting and getting to know each other. Please let me know if you think twitch might be a better option... my son also plans on starting to clog when he gets over there; mainly just for family. Have fun in your markets-looks like a LOT of fun!

He thinks I need to do it from my desktop (which I don’t use much these days despite it being new...just having a hard time getting used to Windows 10 😂). I JUST spoke to him since he called for Mother’s Day 😊❤️. I LOVE this kid, he’s determined to bring me over there for awhile. And yea, Weiwei can’t get on KZbin or Facebook at all since moving to Beijing and taking this new job. He says my son won’t have as many problems once he gets to Shenzhen, but they’re still making it more difficult.
