In the scene in the temple Wei Wuxian actually confesses to Lan Zhan (BIG SPOILER: Meng Yao and Lan Zhan's brother Xichen tell Wei Wuxian because they think he knows how much Lan Zhan loves him but just plays with his feelings and they are tired of him hurting Lan Zhan and seeing that from the sidelines. They don't know but he and Lan Zhan had messed around s#xlly at the inn early in the night. But Wei Wuxian thinks LZ only did it because LZ was drunk and WW is upset for taking advantage of LZ. WW for various reasons doesn't know LZ has been in love with him since they were teens at Cloud Recesses). In his confession WW tells LZ he can have s@x with WW "everyday." Later when they are actually in the middle of that (very descriptively in the book) he asks LZ if they can just do it 3 times a week then okay only 4 but LZ says "Everyday means everyday" and never agrees to anything less. He tells WW "you get what deserve" - meaning he made LZ wait for over 16 year (13 in the book). READ THE BOOKS. They are translated to English. "The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" books 1 - 5.

It's because of people 'shipping' them irl that they had to distance themselves from one another. Whether or not either actor had more that friend feelings wasn't any of our business and it makes me said that people overstep boundaries with actors and ship them IRL. I bet it feels like a huge invasion of personal boundaries. :(

If we dig into the bottom of it, it's not really about the "shippers", it's about the other people's reaction to the shippers & at any hint that they're together. Like seriously, many ppl-be it solo stans or antis or some irrelevant person-just simply hate the very idea that these two can be together and voice their annoyance about it. China is pretty conservative about same sex romance, which is why. It's also one of the reasons why they've been distancing themselves in public.

Actually I don´t think Yibo ever read them. He knows what they are about I guess, but he always looks kind of blank when others start to talk about some partucular scenes from the books. Xiao Zhan admitted reading the 1st book, but don´t know, if he read the whole serie.
