I told you it was over the top 😂 They filmed the part of the video for an audience in Jan Egeland's hometown, they got permission to go on stage during a concert for some other band that was playing there. I don't really remember who. There is a interwiew where Jan Egeland came on Ylvis' show, and he told them that his collegues at the UN played that song at the end of a meeting because they found it so funny, and that was the first time Jan himself ever saw it. I have never wanted to be a fly on the wall as much as I do for that particular meeting. It's one of my favourite ylvis songs.... There are other great ones of course Their mini-series *Big in kirgisistan* is an amazing little story. It can be watched by watching the seven parts or the one 41 minute video that also is on youtube. Both of those are with english subtitles, and then you can end with the official music video of the song Janym, they made while in Kirgisistan. That story was wild. But if you don't feel like commiting to such a big project right now, since you are preparing for your trip to Norway, then there are lots of amazing songs you could check out: - The Cabin - Jeg heter Finn (It has english subtitles) - Engine for Gabriel - Intolerant - Old friends - I will never be a star (Sung by their younger brother Bjarte) All of these are amazing too. If you are most interested in the norwegian culture, then The Cabin would probably be the best pick, since that one talks about cabin culture. In regards to my name. The last time you said, it was the correct pronounciation, but quite honestly, when I talk to english speakers, I often introduce myself the way you pronounced it first, since that is an englified version of it. So if you want to say the technically correct, then the last one is correct, but I don't mind the other one. I look forward to seeing more from you. 😁

The concert was a reunion concert for the 80s band Mods with Morten Abel.

They didn't ask Egeland for permission. He didn't know anything about it. He was at a meeting at the Human rights watch, with 80 people. At the end of the meeting they showed the vido on a big screen for everybody. Jan didn't know anything about it. Here he is at the Ylvis show. He think the whole ting was cool. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZOQkpVpa8uVm5Y
