As for the German verse, they end it with "wadde hadde dudde da" which was the title of the German entry for the ESC back in 2000. You can read up on it on the English wiki. Seeing as they that with the Danish verse as well, I wonder whether there are more of those easter eggs hidden in the song?

There's a reference to Ulf Lundell's Öppna Landskap at the end of the Swedish bit. And a reference to the famous German TV detective Derrick during the German verse.

This is all I gather from the song in terms of information and translation to English. - Please correct me if I'm wrong or missing something and I will fill it in! :) Norwegian: There was a quiet summer night, the fox out of his hole he slipped, for he was going out on a chicken hunt in the farmer's roost, yes. Roost! yes, roost! yes! for he was going out on a chicken hunt in the farmer's roost. Thank you very much! Swedish song phrases from "Alla ska sove för nu är det natt" written by Astrid Lindgren(???) Ends with "I feel best in an open roost ...!" - Modified version of "Öppna landskap" written by Ulf Lundell Danish words, ending with Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest winner (2000); "Fly on the wings of love" by Olsen Brothers German sounds and words including "Derrick", a tv-series running for close to 25 years. French mumbling, mixing up the words "Je ne parle pas français" meaning "I don't speak french"...."Pommes Frites!!" Dutch Jamaican Asian brand names (missing language here?) Khoesan, African languages with clicking consonants We will end with a version from Oslo..eehm.. I don't know if you have it in Haugesund, because I haven't been here in the summer, but here is at least a summer version from Oslo, called "Karl-Johan version"! (Karl Johan is a street in Oslo filled with street musicians in the summer. Most likely referring to an eastern European dance.)

The french mumbling is actually "Je ne parle pas français" though with the words mixed up a bit. It translates to "I don't speak french"

I'm having trouble with the German words in the start. He's singing so fast and my German is rusty nowadays (and they might also do their Ylvis thing and just mimic German...).
