Same, I play tenor but what I do bc I can’t reach those high notes just yet is I play an octave lower (instead of regular e at the start, I play low e) and then it sound better for me becaus then I can control how it sounds better!

Replying to myself here: now noticing how tenor cannot physically go higher than a high f# 😅

@alexanderwilliams3147I’ve hit a high g# but god was it hard
The saxophone has been underappreciated for it's intended use for so long. I still have a place in my personal library for the honking/jazz sound, but I wish more people would use it in the oboe/clarinet role it was designed for.

Hello, Gorm Auslander. My name is Guy. I am in Orlando, Florida. Thank you for your information. I did not know the Sax was invented for the role of clarinet/oboe, however I have always been disappointed that the Sax is not a mainstay in the symphony. I have always felt it not only belongs as a constant part of the Woodwinds but that it would make the whole section stand out more. My understanding is that Alphonse Sax made many of the composers at the Music Festival in Paris, who had been eager to compose pieces which included the fantastic new instrument, angry at him because he was being arrogant. Consequently, they all decided to snub his instrument. Could you confirm this? What are your thoughts?

@@adastraperespera1 that is the story I heard too. It got tossed to the side because everyone was too snotty to give it a chance. It was picked up by jazz players and they adopted it for it's unique sound and flexibility and made it famous for the sounds they prioritized in jazz. It's slowly finding it's way back into the orchestra proper

@@adastraperespera1 that's also the reason bass clarinet isn't really a mainstay, also invented be Adolphe Sax

@@khoshekhthecat Thank you, Khoshekt The Dog. I did not know Sax also invented the bass clarinet. I have always admired the bass clarinet, because it gives bass notes which are very clean and precise. Only the electric bass produces bass notes that are as clean as those made by the bass clarinet. The tuba is often too powerful, and the double bass is so fuzzy and soft that it does not cut through the prominent sounds made by the other sections. Thank you, again, for the information. BTW...do you watch Sangah Noona's channel? I recommend her.

Its the 3:2 ryhthm that makes it so satisfying
@gabrielmanuntag31852 жыл бұрын
@@awesomeislogan892 I don’t think it’s a 3:2 polyrhythm, on the piano sheets I’ve played, the melody is 3 quarter notes while the base is playing 2 dotted quarters.

Very good that you did not simply play the exact original merry go round of life - you adapted it to suit the saxophone better. We can learn a lot from such beatifull playing and arranging.
