I can tell you from my own experience that I spent almost all my embers fighting that bastard at lvl1. In fact for the last boss I had to farm some embers because I ran out of them.

well, I actually win against him using the raw broadsword +10 and some buffs, the prisioner ring (it gives you +5life, stamina and vitality), ring of steel protection, estus ring and the lightning defense ring, also the plus of life of being human. It was a test of patience since I didn't do much damage against the nameless king in its 2º form. But at least I could resist 2 attacks (except for the one that makes a lightning fall from the sky)

Creighton's Dragonslayer Axe is one of the best weapons at low level imo. It has good base damage, lighting damage aswell AND you can still buff it or even infuse it (without losing the lighting damage) Really cool!

Great video. What I would add from my SL1 run: In the painted world, also loot: - Millwood Battle Axe - does good damage when infused with Heavy gem, and two-handed with Knight's Ring (if you like the moveset) - Ethereal Oak Shield, for the early health regen, especially good with Lloyd's Shield Ring Don't forget another Undead Bone Shard in the Demon Ruins. Get 100% physical block shield for Oceiros, not the grass one, Ethereal Oak Shield is an option, you just need to run for the Knight's Ring to wield it. On Champion Gundyr, you can do 2 regular hits before the riposte. Get the Firelink Greatsword and beat Nameless King with it :)

Protip: If you're struggling with Oceiros, and you don't want to waste embers fighting him repeatedly, you can combine Lloyd's shield ring and the life ring to tank almost all of his attacks. The only one that can one-shot you is his high-jump attack in phase 2, while his various charges and sweeps will leave you with a sliver of health.

That Gundyr fight reminds me of my Chained Ogre fight in Sekiro in my second play through. I came from playing Bloodborne a bunch and started a new game after stalling right before Genichiro. I blazed through the first part of the game, and Chained Ogre was the 3rd boss I killed, but the first two don't really count because they were just the dipshit mini boss generals. I died on my first attempt to a gank by all four of the enemies in the arena, but on the second attempt I cleared out the first two enemies (but forgot the spear guy lol) and then fought the big oaf. Step dodged every single one of his attacks and didn't get hit in the entire fight. I was so proud of my self. I'm not the one to normally do that type of stuff too. I'm just really glad I recorded it.

A couple things worth noting as I followed this guide: 1. Personally, I find trying to rush through Ariandel for the large titanite shards so much more cancerous than rushing to the Smouldering Lake. I recommend rushing Abyss Watchers with a +4 weapon (it's only a little hard) and then heading down to the lake for 12 large titanite and 1 chunk. Then with +7 take on dancer and proceed as normal. 2. Also, you don't need to wait for the Silvercat Ring to do the jumping in Ariandel to get the slab. You can buy Spook which prevents fall damage (and is usable at sl 1) from Orbeck and a staff from the maiden and get +10 before the Deacons and Wolnir. 3. I'm not a perfect min-maxer, but after testing, you get so much more damage on backstab against Freide is to do +10 Sharp (yes sharp) Dagger, Ranger Ring, Flynn's Sword Ring, and Hornet (your fourth can be what you prefer for defense, gundyr's, shield ring, etc). You can two-hand it for quick-step as well - it's glorious indeed. Enjoy!

With the soul of cinder I’ve found that if you play defensively he becomes very aggressive but if you play aggressively he tries to to stay away from you his movements with the pyromancer mode come out slower than expected and in his final phase he has a blind spot behind his left foot I’m a sun bro who loves helping people beat the game

Some how I agree with that. Midir is fair and very telegraphed, you just need to be patient. SoC on the other hand, in his 3 attack types phase is very hard for me. I die to that phase more than to Midir or Gael.

Yep. On a SL50~ build its a complete joke. But on SL1 the fact that you can't just tank everything becomes a real problem.

So I'm doing this run myself and I'm kinda stuck on slave knight Gael. If any of you are doing it here are a few extra tips: 1: if you take off a ring and replace it with the knights ring you can wear one of the Crest shields. This makes blocking some attacks in phase 2 suck less. 2: using poison works on phase 2 just fine. It's just risky. 3: reconsider doing the run.

I've always wondered why you avoided the Pus of Man enemies in the first area. They give you a titanite shard so you could be +2 before Vordt, which is what I usually do

Getting every single titanite shard possible from high wall to undead settlement will net you with +3. OR you can say fk that and run to farron keep for a F A S T +4.

Also, pro tips: The Sellsword Winblades are also extremely OP for SL1. Very good against Midir. For Gael, use the Scholar ring and that Storyteller Staff to poison him. Does far more damage than rotten pine resin. 👍🤟

I was going to say that SSTB need 16 Dex, and that SL1 only gives you 10 to work with, but the Hunter and Carthus Milk Rings provide enough to meet the requirements. Carry on, Ashen One.

You left out a step: Get one-shotted by the Dancer after killing Emma. Also, when you fight Midir on the Bridge, there's a tiny outcropping of the bridge right by his left Foot (his left, your right) where you'll be completely invincible from all his attacks.

Help me a lot of my first lvl 1 try on new run on that moment At least for me Soul of cinder never was specially hard, but Midir... jajajjajja well even the prince demon those 2 bastards cost me one week and at least one hundred tries... pain never goes! Know i ended the NG7 lvl 1 ( different lvl 1 build with Carthus Sword, old wolf CGS on my back and tearstone ring ) Feel very satisfy with my self. Just come here and say Thanks again mate!
