But yeah, I'm generally just not a fan of streamers being distracted while playing video games, like, even on the best day, it'll detract from the experience somewhat. Not that I think they should ALWAYS BE 100% FOCUSED on the game, but like, you can at least go a bit easy on the game maybe. I don't even have particularly high praise for RE8, I think it's a decent game, different in gameplay terms to RE7, but it is for sure much easier to play since it's more action-y.

For devs that say the intended difficulty is I think they understand that a majority of people needs a "normal" or easy mode because they can't play hard games. So basically if you make a hard game it cannot sell as well, and thus you don't make as much money. Also many times a studio has the input on that situation requiring devs to make a more accessible difficulties, so I think it's fair for devs to say the intended experience it not normal mode in some situations.

P.T. only put out a demo and it's still considered one of the best video game horror experiences. The Res 8 devs chose to make a horror game without the horror. I don't think they mention it, but I think the missiles in Chris's section are the 'fly-by-wire' type, like Javelin middles. They won't fire without a locked signal and need a constant signal to strike the target. So the laser targeting system needs to be in place for it to work at all. Though underground...that's just RE being RE

i love Adums channels and really enjoy his personality but Jesus he's really bad at video games and understanding their logic while whining about it, it's perfectly ok for him to dislike RE8 but having watched this entire series on playthrough and now his Sekiro run geez his chat are patient, the countless times he misses objects directly in his vision, somehow misses notes that the chat then needs to tell him to read, his criticism of video game logic is pretty frustrating too, its how the industry works if he doesn't like it that's fine but stop whining about commonly accepted video game logic like the yellow tape, the puzzles set up with no internal logic, the fact you have to use autojump on specific objects at scripted moments. to counter his it's not scary argument i would suggest Adum looks to youtube for the countless playthroughs where people find it scary both the player and the viewers, personally never really found any horror movie or game scary but i understand that for many people this is. Adum seems to have a bad way of dealing with criticism, "it's just my opinion you should be open to criticism" but then Adum himself is far too defensive and incapable of taking criticism with his main defence being calling them dumb instead of accepting that his playstyle and attitude while playing is affecting the experience of the game. please don't be horse mad Adum i'm a huge fan but you need to reflect on yourself and understand that the vast majority of people don't play like you which is why you struggle with games so much which leads to you using the chat for excessive handholding.

Especially since the 17 is green text which better differentiates it here. + is usually used the other way around in games, like 83 bullets + 17 in the chamber. I think the main reason for the slash is most people are already used to it being that way in shooting games in general, but I don't think it's that bad.

Yeah, "That's not how REAL fire works!!". Ok? This is like basic video game logic 101, that I feel is only ever pointed out by people who barely play games or like reddit-tier humor to just point out videogame logic. I didn't watch the full streams but if he's complaining about the fire not being realistic, I can only assume he would have spent half an hour talking about how you can't realistically carry so many weapons, and that it's unrealistic to magically move your ammo around so you're always firing from topped off magazines instead of wasting bullets. Which is particularly funny because I don't really know what the complaint here is meant to be from him. Games make realism concessions to make the gameplay flow better. It would suck dick if you had to manually load magazines between fights and always remember to load specific magazines first because they're topped off with ammo or whatever. And similarly it would be annoying as fuck trying to leave a burning building if you couldn't see anything because of the smoke. Like what does he want, no fire in games unless they portray it realistically? Or annoying as fuck section where you can't see shit and you're stumbling around in the smoke?

I get that not every comment is written in good faith and that repetitive criticisms can blunt their meaning, but I still think there's some validity in the criticisms adum received. The environment in which you engage with a piece of art (of any kind or medium) will affect how you perceive that art. Adum is playing this with a friend, and streaming it. Ultimately his goal is to entertain, not to engage with every aspect of the story or game. With that said, is it possible that adum would enjoy this game under different circumstances? Possibly, I don't know for sure. I wrote this because I think Adum's response isn't very thoughtful, still found this very entertaining. He is right though that if you enjoy something, it shouldn't matter whether or not other people also enjoy that thing
