This is something I really need to work on. I feel like I take entirely too long on every step. My OCD overcomes me lol
@tarafawkes97695 жыл бұрын
We just have to keep practicing with the timing and timing ourselves until we can apply acrylic application within the hour . And even keep watching this video and practice along with .

Hello Lady you are very right but once you learn how to lay the acrylic to your nail it will become very easy for you it good to watch these video to learn how to do it but remember do what make you comfortable when apply the power. I think the three step is very good for beginners and you need a good lamp with bright light so you can see really good I been in this business sent 1996 and I do have my license. I learn a lot on my own just practicing there was no KZbin for me so I became very creative but practice everyday will payoff. Keep up the good work I hope I said something to help you out God Bless.
@MsLadyT12464 жыл бұрын
Hello Lady go to dollar tree and buy you a timer the one you use to cook with and time yourself from beginning to the end and it will help you monitor your time then you can see where you are taking too much time on. It only take 45 minutes or less to do a full set and 15 for a fill. Wish you lucky I know you can do it I did it and I didn’t have KZbin in 1996 to help me and I do have license sent 1996 as well. I think you would do good on the three step method and don’t pick up to much power just start out with a little bead until you get comfortable and build on that. Have a good day.

All excellent tips, as usual. I would love to see a simple explanation for how you combat humidity levels--high or low. In Florida, no matter how cold it is in my house/shop, I'm still battling the acrylic either drying too fast or not fast enough. Without running the a/c bill up, without purchasing "slow set" monomers, how can you balance this?
@patriciagallacher67415 жыл бұрын
Some put the monomer in the fridge or if you don't want to you could sit your dish of monomer inside a bowl of ice water.
@lilliannalansing10884 жыл бұрын
You could tey housing humidifiers or dehumidifiers to maintain 1 constant humidity level

I wish you would do other shapes not just almond. How do you avoid sculpting crooked nails when placing the form? Also it would help if you could find models with challenging nails such as the ski jump nails and hooked nails. How would you apply the forms on those types of nails to avoid the nails looking more hooked or like they are jumping up. How do you straighten a sculpted hooked nail after it’s grown out with the enhancement and starts pointing downward? One last thing, when I use your method for efiling, I find that I have all these lines or indentations where I have run my carbide bit and end up hand filing to finish file to get rid of this. What am I doing wrong? TIA 😊
@karameader1566 жыл бұрын
armEchick06 could be the bit I had lines from my carbide bit too but my new one which is actually more coarse doesn't

Do you have a tip for quickly removing the shine by hand? I work at a salon that doesnt allow us to use an electric file 😕
@youngnailsinc5 жыл бұрын
Use a 150/150 grit file
@3killahx3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I noticed after filing the cuticle area with the file you didn’t buff the nail, is that not necessary?
@linawilson13335 жыл бұрын
Hi, i was wondering if nail prepping wears down the natural nails after a while since shine has to be removed before every gel or acrylic service, does the nail start to get thinner over time for someone that gets their nails done with a gel overlay every two to three weeks?
@youngnailsinc5 жыл бұрын
N W With proper prep techniques you will not damage the natural nail
@sabzflo5074 жыл бұрын
Can you use a orange buffer instead of the nail file? I feel like when I use the salons nail file they are too coarse and tend to take product off.

Buffers often leave the surface too smooth the enhancement will have trouble attaching

First if all it is very helpful amazing thank you for helping us improve in our work, second of all I really need your opinion about the actual time it takes a full set acrylic application with forms, what is the preferable time it takes? Thank you
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
For a basic full set, an hour to hour and a half is a good timeframe to work toward. If you are adding any art/custom length or shape, these may take you longer. Keep in mind, if you are not at this speed yet, it is more important to get your structure down first and then work on speed.

You prep with swipe which dehydrates the nail then protein bond which prepares the nail for the enhancement

I think with my school clients is that I’m told it’s going to be a full set when it’s actually a fill from some unknown source, with unknown existing product and an expectation that I have the service completed as if they were a new,fresh set. Very frustrating. I can do a full,fresh set in about an hour and a half. But a fill on some unknown persons work seems to take forever! Do you have any tips or tricks for that?
