Yngwie's music gave me company during the most depressive part of my life which lasted about 3 years. After high school, no money for university, working, no girlfriend 'cause "I would move on soon" (after I gathered some money to start college). A lot of friends already making the lives of their dreams either married or studying and I was only "caught in the middle". This music is a part of what I am. Sometimes I feel lost and I have changed a lot, but I recall to my roots and this music is a somehow a home to me.

So true. Yngwie and the first three albums in particular have always been there for me too. I saw them open for Dio in 1988 with Joe Lynn Turner singing, and I saw Yngwie do amazing things. I caught him again around 2020, and he still brings the fire. Many times, when words just wouldn't say it, I've thrown on Rising Force, and it has always done the trick. Keep the faith. 🤘

This album and Fire and Ice specifically were listened on my biggest events of my life. I listened to Yngwie Malmsteen for the first time (so this album) during my theory exam for driving license, and i passed. And i listened to Fire and Ice in the night before doing my first ever travel and watching my first ever show, which was Megadeth. The period of Trilogy to Eclipse was also a time where i tried to make a girlfriend, but i failed.

Yeah, just the ferocious playing made it cool to listen to. Such authority. The fast lines. And that God sic wide ass vibrato......Made it cool to listen to Uli Roth and Al Dimeola....so smooth and full of feel. Made us all practice as much as possible.

When my brother and I were young, my dad would play this song in the car and tell us a story about "The Monster and The Cowboy" who fought to the death. But after a long back and forth battle, the monster got the upper hand and devoured the cowboy. Its my earliest detailed memory.
