I've seen Yngwie many times. Your picking is cleaner and more precise in a way that I've never heard before... The transitions between ultra high speed picking and tapped passages are also completely insane. So very clean and articulate. No one on this earth can deny your virtuosity. I hope you achieve a huge level of commercial success as well. Simply awe inspiring. Troy Grady should be analyzing your picking technique.

I played it in a way I thought it would sound best. I could play it exactly like malmsteen, but what’s the point when he’s already done it? I think they were just paying me a (much welcomed) compliment to highlight how much more accurate it sounds with alt picking. I don’t economy pick simply because I prefer the sound of alt picking, it’s more consistent. Economy picking has its distinct sound in comparison, which I like, but prefer alt picking. I don’t think he was ‘calling out’ Troy Grady, I think he was just adding to his previous compliments. I don’t think his comment was that deep lol

Ça n'a aucun sens.

@Tramaineguitar3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don’t didn’t use my fingers as the anchor point in this vid, at this sort of speed it’s usually my palm knuckles. But I’ve taken on MABs anchor point when I’ve had to go beyond 220bpm (16ths), so much more efficient!

How do you mix the guitar with the backing track ? it sounds really good. When I try to record a lead guitar over a backing track, it doesnt sounds "glued"...
@Tramaineguitar7 ай бұрын
This was actually in the mix, so not over a backing track. I created this backing track so I was able to get it glued in a bit more. I think it’s more to do with the mastering, and getting the EQ right in the backing track for the lead to sit right.

Just watched this again and noticed you have something very much in common with Michael Schenker, you both hardly use the little finger. Awesome stuff.
@Tramaineguitar3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, up until about 5 years ago, I was the opposite where I’d hardly use my ring finger - but always found it hard to do phrases with a wheats intervals or stretches. So no I kinda think of the pinky as a ‘bonus’ finger haha. Most scalar patterns are 3-note-per-string, so unless it’s a linear arpeggio or something like that, I try not to rely on it. I also have larger hands, and chunkier fingers than average, so especially when playing higher up on the neck, things can feel a bit cramped.

@Tramaineguitar Жыл бұрын
Thanks 🙏🏼 I love them, I’ve found distinct differences between the Aquila, Duvell and Regius so far. They all play differently, but just as well. Personally, I prefer the Duvell for lead, BUT, the other two I’ve tried, legato seems effortless, as if there aren’t even strings on the guitars. Yes, I’m a Mayones Artist, but personally, I’ve not played anything that comes close to Mayones for what I want in a guitar. The craftsmanship is unmatched in my opinion.
