To the person wanting Elmo to stop: I like Ynqwie and his music. I wish he put videos like Elmo out every week that are fun and easy to watch and inspiring. But he doesn't. Elmo is my Yngwie substitute. I purchased 2 albums of Yngwie back in the 80s, but now BECAUSE Elmo comes up my youtube feed, I watch him and it inspires me. I pick up my guitar and play a bit more. I got for a walk or jog and put Yngwie on my Spotify play list. Elmo and people like him are keeping Yngwie's spirit alive in all of us. Yngwie is a great guitar player, but others are also great at teaching us guitar players his brilliance, which Yngwie himself maybe does not have the time to do. I want to keep remembering and being inspired by Ynqwie. Please understand people like Elmo are people like us, we love Yngwie and we want to remember him and be just a fraction of what he can do. So Please Please Please don't stop Elmo from keeping Yngwies spirit alive in all of us. Please?

Robert Baker and other KZbinrs do not get copy-strikes for showing us how to play Eddie Van Halen or SRV guitar licks. Fender want to sell the EVH line and the SRV strats. Fender want to sell Malmsteen strats and hardware, so would not be happy at all with anyone causing less players engagement with such an iconic guitar hero. Whoever is doing this needs to think very very carefully what they are doing. Perhaps Fender should be informed, this is not the model they want with consumers.

Cover songs are a staple of the music industry, a way for an artist to express admiration for another artist and to put a personal twist on a favourite song. Yngwie is immensely influential to us guitarists from the 80's and 90's who remember him tearing up the fretboard with his near inhuman playing. Quite a few videos ago I remember you talking about Yngwie and I remember thinking, "Damn, I haven't heard that name in a long time", then I promptly went out and purchased some of his music, music I would of otherwise never have purchased. It's all water under the bridge now, keep doing your thing, it's what we are here for.

It is 200% April. She's been acting like this in yngwie' stead for years. To mention how crazy she can be, she had Jeff Scott soto ejected from a malmsteen show otherwise yngwie' would have not come out to perform. I think there are clips here on KZbin from that same show and someone announcing that on the mic. She is basically the yoko Ono of our era lol. But even more harmful cuz she fucks with people livelyhood (namely social media and KZbin). EDIT Ofc the videos are gone, but there are interviews of Jeff talking about the incident.

Hey Elmo. I hope you actually read this. A few things I wanted to say. I know this sucks, it's clear you've been hurt by this as one of your heroes disappointed you (whether or not he knows anything about this). This channel is my favorite one. I watch a bunch of them and yours is the only one I trust unequivocally. I used to play music in the 90s and after some bad luck, I stopped playing guitar all together for 15 years. After my cancer diagnosis on my 40th birthday, and while in the hospital, I decided to play guitar again and write music, do the band thing again, yadda yadda. The point is, watching your channel has helped me get back into knowing what's going on with gear, and I know I can trust your reviews. Any success I have in the future you will have had a hand in it. So what I wanted to say, is thank you. Please continue what you're doing, if you can. It's truly appreciated. You're a good person, and that's almost impossible to find on social media.

Let’s face it, the shows Malmsteen has been “selling out” lately are random bars and pubs that local bands play in. He’s famous for what he did, not what he does. Contrast to a player such as Vai who arguably reached his peak popularity after his last album due to his innovations and flair. The only thing Malmsteen has to sell people these days is his name and legacy, and people might actually have forgotten about him if he weren’t notorious for being a douchebag.

In the spirit of Spinal Tap, were the songs that were removed recorded in "Dobly"?

I guess copying Paganini is ok since there’s no copyright on that anymore (although I know what you mean, morally). But he never talks about ripping off Al Di Meola’s (guess the name) Trilogy Suite, or Uli’s licks. Rising Force is not even his name, it’s Uli’s Earthquake album cover art painted by Monika 😂 Edit: and sure, selling direct Yngwie content on Patreon would be a felony, but you’re only offering the link for donations. As far as I am aware, people could be donating to support you rocking that long hair! 😆
