You dropping this podcast about being alone and isolated came out at the perfect time for me. I moved back into college last Saturday and have spent a lot of time eating alone, going to class alone etc. At first it was tough to get adjusted to but now I’m enjoying the process 💯

*Being by yourself, is important to being yourself* 🙏 I had this in a playlist to watch later, waiting for the right time to take it in. After having a solitary weekend, getting outside and taking in the tail end of summer, it felt like the perfect time to watch it. I certainly really enjoyed listening to this & took a lot out of it!

I spent two weeks in montana in between a lot of shit going on in my life. Went dogsledding, tracked wildlife with a field biologist in yellowstone, ziplined, snowtubed at night, ice fished. You name it. Point is, solitude- what it can do for you and what you can do for others after you experience it. Montana will always have a place in my heart and your music does now, too. Thanks bro. Keep on keepin on

These episodes seem to find me at the right time. Just finished my first week in a new city knowing no one, felt like I needed to get away from certain voices and just see what I got going on. It’s challenging but my gut feeling says it’ll be worth it. Appreciate you Steve.

Bro I needed this…the past two weeks I’ve been learning how to be content and and having an attitude of gratitude and being thankful helps you learn to be content…I too am 32 days without alcohol and it helps as well…and when you said “the best thing you can do for your future is to be present in the present” is a bar 🔥🔥

Keep it up dude, alcohol is such a downer. We live in very turbulent times, to stay level headed now and be content and grateful is so underrated!

Bro, I’m only 8 minutes in, and I feel everything Mike’s saying. You’ve got to make the time, by design, to be your best. Sometimes we let so much fog in and go too long without connecting back to God, Universe, and our Higher Selves. It can take longer than we expect to get back to that creative space, but stay persistent, this is when the Greatness happens. Cheers, Mike. 🙏✨

@mike. So dope seeing ya in Portland. I'm an artist myself so seeing y'all come all the way out here was awesome. Been fun following the journey. Montana is a great place I got family out there. Have fun and I think you would be surprised more people would be interested in this long form solo interview style too.

Yea so for me hunting is my alone time where it’s just me in the woods. Super quiet can’t make a noise. Get to take in nature and takes my mind away from all the day to day shit that runs through my head 24/7 and recoup and find home base again.

cool moment @ 26:44 where you mention reflecting on the music and as you do Pro Tools goes dark 😂😂 rly appreciate your insights mike! being present is something i’ve been working on. as a creative myself i sometimes try to rush, but i know the rush is never worth it. being present in each and every moment fuels the creativity. something i’ve learned from introspection, you, Eckhart Tolle, and Ram Dass love your energy man.. eternally grateful 4 u 💚💚💚

I want you to realize that you help individuals without even realizing it. Rewind back to 2018, I had been going through a rough ass time trying to figure out who I was and where I stood and I listened to your jams to get me through, cliche right? Well, this is where you helped me without even saying a word or even knowing me. I had moved to Las Vegas and I was taking care a resident of mine and we were checking into the Aria Suites and you were sitting in the lobby chilling with your crew. Now, the fanboy in me wanted to run up and ask for a picture or a signature because I had been listening to you for years and I swear on everything I was listening to “closer” literally 2 seconds before I realized you were literally 20 ft away from me. Just seeing you sit there man made me realize anything is possible as long as you keep grinding. I would of never even gotten the chance to be around in your presence if I would have given up. So thank you man, for real.
