The first half, Mike and Jon discuss the ins-and-outs of the music business, and how the playing field is changing for all creators. After, a fan sends in a question regarding self esteem. If we look in the mirror, do we like the person staring back at us?

Arizona Zervas has been killing it! Would be dope AF to see him on the podcast. Especially seeing that there isn't much content on the dude. Interview wise etc.

“Doing something great and not telling someone about it”. Love that. I always say… what you do when nobody is looking is who you really are.

Such a good one!! I was discussing with my husband one day how we just vibe the Highs album over and over. And when we try to change it to other music, it just doesn't give us the vibe. I can feel your wave, your vibe from your music. You don't have an ego you are rising higher and it can be felt in your album. I have never listened to an album that has given me the feeling yours does. And it's just am elevated state! And I'm about that right now. I started a journey and discovered you at the perfect time. And I'm drawn to that! Keep doing you! And don't stop because it's inspiring!

I would have to say I'm like a majority of these amazing people here. The Highs is heavy on my rotation everyday. It's keeping me going, searching for myself, learning to love myself and to learn and grow from a recent devastating life experience I never saw coming. Please continue to talk about the self help and reflection in this conversation. Always love getting more recommendation's of who and what to listen to. THANK YOU!

46:00 facts I really feel like life isn’t about “I’m meant to do this certain thing.” I feel we just have to engage in life. We feel we don’t know or understand life. We want to as humans or avatars however you perceive, but the only way to understand it is to engage, get to know it. Spend time in the moment, the future isn’t here and the past is gone. Enjoy what’s in front of you. All you have, is the moment.

Bro 1:01:25... it's the truth, I wish Jon let you elaborate a bit because you were about to resonate with a lot of people. Still, I'm sure we all know where it was going. I read something about a grandmother telling her granddaughter something along the lines of, nobody cares about you as much as you do, so all the indecision about what to wear/how to look, etc. is just stressing you, but not doing you any good. The girl was the star of her own movie. What you were about to expand on, posting our opinions or just pics to social media, thinking that the world is going to care so much, overthinking if we should or shouldn't, it's very strange to think about. It's a new phenomenon. I'm 24, and I've grown up from a time where none of this existed, to where we are now. I remember simply doing things to do them. I've gotten caught up at times in doing something to try and share it. It's odd. It makes me think about how much people now care about the presentation of events instead of the actual experience. We need this perfect pic, video, etc. instead of just enjoying the fucking moment. It's true... nobody cares. That's meant in the best way possible. It's liberating. I've had thousands of pics and videos erased from multiple phones/computers. Photos and videos that I'd never erase myself because I thought that they were important. Now, I don't even remember what pics or videos I lost. I don't care. I've never really looked back at events on my phone and reminisce. Usually, all that I need is my recollection. Going off your programming point about MJ and the music videos back in the day, we're being programmed to believe that EVERY moment must be captured. Everyday, a new pic or video. We need to share our experiences with the world who doesn't care about our experiences. We're at a point where billions of people have access to social media and the supply of content outweighs the demand by a shit ton. Everyone's taken a pic or video @ whatever place. There's a difference between all of this and actually trying to create or do something that's true to you. I'm talking more about our opinions, or just our lives in general - we're not special. I think that across the board, but in a good way. I'm just talking about life in general. People who accomplish great things, create great music, art or movies, have beautiful writing, or just do anything to a high or captivating level - these people should be applauded. Applauded for their WORK. Applauded for the real experience and the doing. For living life as a verb, not capturing a moment to relive and believe that's it, or trying to be someone, without making the effort to actually be. Enjoyed this. I'll be purchasing the book, "The Power of Now." Peace.

Talk about self sabotage for escape, abandoning due to loss of interest, escape, facing the music, relearning good behaviors over bad. Tons to talk about. Love how you took bdl and kinda made it your own as far as talking life stuff on ykn. I respect that more than Johnny running and abandoning ship.

Honestly see your point with ROI on your videos not as worth it, but don’t underestimate the “brand equity” of those lyrical videos. When sharing your music at a pregame/just vibing via the videos, your ability to make a dope video catches the eye just as much as the music, and people hop of the wave asap.

Around the 33 minute you guys talk about living in the moment. Me an my fam never took pictures on vacation and the last day we spend taking pictures to save the memories but we failed to make more then 20 pictures per 2 week holiday. Really felt that. Great that it follows up with porn 😂

I like your songs but I do appreciate videos. It makes easier to show them to my friends. It’s easier for them to enjoy it and dive into it. Sounds silly but I think of it like a book. Most people don’t want to pick up a book and I kid you not, I’ve heard folks say they want pictures in em as grown ass adults. Nothing wrong with it but the average consumer loves visuals.
