Actually, Melly faces the death penalty - part of the reason this case is so prolific is because the prosecutor is going for the death penalty, and he could be one of the first people to be sentenced to death under Florida’s new law that requires 12/12 to vote guilty & *ONLY 8/12* of the jurors to sentence him to death. They must obvi get 12/12 to vote guilty first - but instead of it ALSO being another 12/12 vote required to see if the jury agrees to the death penalty (they take a second vote for this if everyone votes guilty first) - only 8 of the jurors need to agree for that.

I’ve never said this before in a case. But. Im starting to think one or more of the jury members were approached and either threatened or offered money to not vote guilty. I just don’t think he or his people would just trust the system and leave it to the jury. I don’t believe for a second the girlfriends mother isn’t worried about being hurt or killed or her daughter be hurt or killed by the defendant/his people more then anyone else. I believe the prosecution only threatened her with jail etc when they found out she wasn’t going to repeat what she originally said right after the murders. Which isn’t fair on her. If she talked she had a lot to lose. So knowing how far they went his the girlfriends mother, a jury member wouldn’t be too far fetched.

He was being extorted by the Bloods that were recruiting him which is evident by the text messages the prosecution presented at trial between him and Gene and the top guy. They went to meet them and try to smooth things over with them. Ask and Juvy knew they weren’t going home that’s why they dabbed the other guys up that hot into the other car before they left the studio( if the plan was to go home then why dab each other up they will be seeing each other in 20 mins) also if you read sake moms deposition you will realize that the red Mitsubishi was his moms so if they didn’t have plans to go elsewhere together then sal would of driven his moms car and not got into the jeep. Also in the same deposition his mother said the day before the killings he called her at like 2:00am telling her she needed to move immediately and was freaking out but wouldn’t tell her why but she says in the deposition that he was so upset she actually moved that day ( obviously he didn’t want someone to know where she lived) but before they went to the studio ask and bortlen went and picked his mom up so obviously it was melly or Bortlan that he was worried about. So they go meet them blood smelly gets out of the jeep to go talk to the big guy in his car and whoever was with that guy gets out and gets in the jeep something happens and the guy kills them both they let melly and Bortlan ( 😂who was left alive to take the fall and to be able to continue to extort melly) leave but told them they would kill them and their families if they snitched which they would have no problem believing ( also they told melly that kids and women were not off limits if they were disrespected in one of those texts the prosecution showed) because they just watched them kill their friends. So melly and Bortlan come up with a story about a drive by and then in order to keep the money ( melly) out of everything g and free to keep making money Bortlan dropped him off and took the bodies to the hospital. They then continued to extort melly in jail which the witness tampering charge proves. They had those numbers to make sure the girlfriend who knew the truth stayed quiet and they were having Bortlan send in drugs. Melly couldn’t receive mail so he wasn’t getting the drugs or the profits. Why do you think the mom refused to say anything on the stand? Not to protect melly it’s because she is scared for her child’s life which was threatened by the bloods. Why do you think Bortlan has not turned on melly if melly did it? He would go to jail for life to protect his friend. They are scared for their lives and their families lives and that is why they haven’t told. This was also co formed by the text from Jamie on the day of the murder when melly asks for a gun and she asks if he is scared and if he was being threatened!!!

And if this was a drive by, you don’t snitch. On top of that, maybe it was a drug deal gone wrong. the first prosecution sucked but based on the evidence they didn't present the case in a way for me to have convicted him for life much less death. they better hope they have a lot better evidence if ab to use or obtain otherwise he will walk because based on current evidence the defense did their job in creating doubt and an alternative solution as to why it happened and it was believable and the witness was credible. so if they don't change something they will lose which makes me really doubt if he even actually did it. that lead prosector was awful and crude and thought she could do whatever she wanted but judge judge quickly let her know and she herself nearly caused a mistrial.

The nail in the coffin for me during the original trial was the two MDs' testimony and the detective ballistics expert's testimony. Injuries described on the stand and times/matters of death do not at all comport with the defense's lone alibi of a drive-by shooting by unknown assailant(s). Ask yourself what reason would the MDs and detectives have to lie and cover up info... Whereas the defendant would have every reason and motive to lie in this situation. The defense never addressed or refuted any of this in court because they can't do so truthfully while under oath. This case should be closed and this guy should be in prison serving two consecutive life sentences without parole for double homicide. One lone juror who perjured themselves by lying on their questionnaire refused to be impartial and then intimidated another juror to vote her way making it 10-2 at the end of the day during deliberation. This caused the mistrial. The standard for a guilty/not guilty verdict in high-profile homicide cases such as this one should be changed in FL from unanimous to a majority in order to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. The sentencing guidelines in Florida have been changed for homicide since the Nic Cruz school shooting, but the guilty/not guilty standard is still the same.
