I do wish Practice Mode was a little more intuitive. I'm 43 and I've been out of fighter games since the original Budokai series. My old rusty ass is having a difficult time lol. It is fun though! Great review!

I'm 💯% sold that everyone who had problems with Great Ape Vegeta wasn't using Solar flare. Was nowhere near as hard as the internet made it seem. But as a Budokai and Tenkaichi Veteran, this game is the best of the franchise, Ya love to see it!

I’m so glad this series made a comeback. A dream come true. Just read that everyone ^) (WARNING, this ended up being way to long because I wanted to reminisce, may be better to just not waste your time reading) Of course there are some things I don’t like about the game (and perhaps it’s only due to nostalgia ) but things that I would like to be changed are the following. 1- Character select screen, (wish transformations were stacked within one character) 2-The menus ( I still think the older games have the best menus ever, it just jumps out right at you and screams Dragon ball, I prefer the artwork) 3- the story mode, I understand that there has been back and fourth on how important story mode is within the DBZ game community, but me personally I think it’s essential,for this game I wish instead of the photo slide shows we had cutscenes (ultimate tenkaichi quality) I know ultimate tenkaichi is pretty bad but I loved those beautiful redid Dbz scenes, or again the older style speech bubble talking artwork from Budokai . (I know this is basically me asking for a mish mash) And finally number 4- I’m not a fan of the character biography stuff , I think it’s cool to hear Bulma videl and chichis reactions, but I would like to have the big written biography to at least read about the character. Like in the older games. Even though BT3 was my first DBZ game, I was so young that I couldn’t really get into playing it, (and funny enough it was probably because of great ape Vegeta which people are complaining about now 😂😂😂) (get good) My first memory was me (little kid) slamming a Ps2 controller because of that fight and then I stopped playing the game. I didn’t take interest into dragon ball Z until a few years later with raging blast 2. My uncle told me to try the game out, had the 360 version, and immediately I was taken back by these super warriors who could fire lasers out of their hands, the dialogue between the characters when beginning a fight made me curious about their history, I wanted to learn more about all of the characters and the world of dragon ball. At the time I had no way to watch the show, didn’t really even know if I could find it on TV, and my family didn’t have internet for a long time. The biography from RB2 helped me learn more about the characters backgrounds and I probably watched the Hatiyack film 1,000 times on the game. Legit the only reason I want that from biography mode ^ without it on RB2 I would have never really known much about the cast at all, and perhaps I may have never looked any further into the series. I ended up getting really lucky at my local library later on, and I checked out the entire DB and DBZ manga and binge read it over and over, I think the library lady started to hate me because I would walk over with a stack of books taller then my head (as I always got all of them at once) and she had to use the scanner gun repeatedly 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I know times are different now (as almost everyone has internet access in some way) but I always like to think that maybe there’s some kid with a really poor family and somehow they have no other way to learn about the series, which is why I like the old style biography . But yeah those are the only things I don’t necessarily care for (not saying what the game has is bad) I guess I’m either nostalgic or an art lover, All my complaints are really just small meaningless menu stuff. Interested in hearing what other people think, or your first memories with DB. Kinda curious if anyone got into it the way I did.

9:12 I already have a Demon King Piccolo Storyline I've been working on since the Game came out. I'm probably going to have to adjust some Effects and stuff, but I have 4 "Episodes" complete already. The hardest part about Custom Battle is finding things to have the characters say 💀Almost everything sounds disconnected and silly and it's surprisingly difficult to make a conversation flow

Won't lie KJM, the real obstacle in the episode battles for me wasn't Great Ape Vegeta, it was being expected to fight and win a 1 v 5 against the entire Clown Force with no breaks in one of the what ifs, I got absolutely folded so many times by them it was painful.

Y'all if Great Ape Vegeta is too hard for you. Just fight him in Max Power mode, and spam more Super attacks. In Max Power Mode/Sparking!, your punches will actually hurt him.

Ay i get the skepticism 100% I'm heavy into the FGC and even playing traditional fighters for as long as I have, I'm still surprised at the complexities in this game! There's 1000% balance issues, but there is a ton going on under the hood especially in regards to movement and defensive play. I'm interested to see how the game develops

I didnt even get stuck THAT hard on ape vegeta I think it was like 6-7 tries but yeah normal scouter vegeta also took 4-5 and at that point I got on twitch to make sure I wasnt just ass. Stream after stream of people stuck on the ape harder than I was lmfao. Love this game Edit:Oh also on PC theres Force stage edit mod so you can do local Multi on any map. Just gotta be careful not to use it online cause uhh... as I found out accidentally the hard way earlier, it works. Other dude quit out twice super confused before I figured out my mod was stage swapping his chosen map to cell games lmfao

Sounds to me, Toriyama left us one last goldmine before he went to go train with Paikon and the Kai. I enjoyed FighterZ, but it’s not my preferred game style when it comes to dragon ball , good thing is though that’s there’s tons of flavors to choose from when it comes to DB games. CAC-Xenoverse (ultimate tenkaichi) Sim fighter- Sparking zero/BT series/Raging blast. Arcade fighter -Fighter Z/older Budokai games Basic understanding of story?- Nearly every game offers it, top pick for a newbie would be kakarot though .
