SSBU is a crazy balanced game for the amount of characters it has, the difference between characters is so small that any character can win a major. The difference between A tier and S tier is especially small, and can be completely evaporated by just being better than who you’re playing against.

Because S tier characters have good and even matchups against all other top tiers, but insanely one sided matchups against lower tiers (in most cases). PT is an interesting scenario, but Joker outclasses PT in almost every category, making it a matchup issue.
