@@Ineffableheist it is pretty confusing. So basically they are a global pop girl group. It just so happens both of their songs are structured in the same way a "kpop" song is. So you can treat their songs so far as kpop. Since it's a genre of music. Before anyone says anything about no Korea in the lyrics, I'd like to point to numerous all English songs performed and promoted by actual extremely popular kpop groups

Sorry only now I came across your video here and yes, XG is from Japan (all 7 girls) and they reside in S.Korea. So, even though they 'seem' like a Kpop group, they don't wish to be known as such. They're a Japanese girl group, 'XG'. All of their songs are sung in full English, so far. I actually belong to XG's Official Weverse Community page. (Yaaaas an Official ALPHAZ fan! ALPHAZ is their fandom name. Their fandom color is 💙blue💙 and the fandom emoji is a 🐺wolf.) I stumbled across them one day (I even forgot 'how' lol) and took a look at 'Tippy Toes' as my first MV of them, and I was just as BLOWN AWAY like y'all were. I seriously wanted to know everything there was to know about them and I'm HOOKED completely! They're my No.1 female group I follow now and will always be a fan of theirs. I also dig other female groups such as NewJeans, Itzy and Twice. But, DAMN...XG is LIT as a brand spanking new girl group that's trending. Too bad they only have 4 single songs so far and not a full album yet. But, I'll bet they'll suirely be coming out with an album very soon. (or at least a Mini album) LOVE XG!!!! XG is a group that was created through systematic hard work through global projects for over 5 years. The group consists of Japanese members who practiced in Korea with the K-pop system and set global goals with English songs. XG Executive Producer Jakops (Junho Park) debuted as a singer in Korea and has been engaged in Kpop as a producer and composer for over 13 years. His father is Korean, his mother is Japanese, he is of Japanese nationality and was born in the United States. XG's song composition and group concept were all produced by him. The songs on 'Tippy Toess' are well thought out, addictive and stylish. It looks like an evolved version of Kpop. Making a song in English is an important point. In that sense, XG group will be a group that can receive enough stimulation for K-pop.

April 22, 2022, producer JAKOPS said on Instagram Live, "I've been working on the XG project for 4years and my base was mostly in Japan" They are under AVEX. they were training in Japan.‬  (They were training at「AVEX ARTIST ACADEMY HEAD OFFICE STUDIO」in JAPAN ＊XG video: (The Beginning ,The Journey) YGX appears momentarily, but most of it is a training scene at 「AVEX ARTIST ACADEMY HEAD OFFICE STUDIO」) The MV producer and choreographer are Korean and were shot in South Korea. The first video was uploaded in February 2022. Given that, they may have been in South Korea for preparation in 2021. I think Simon's four years mean either the four years from 2017 to 2021. The MV dance performance uses YGX, but YGX is a dance studio, so anyone can use.

Japan is never in this space, which is why everybody thinks they are Korean. lol. (That and some of their support team are Korean.) They are being marketed as a "global girl group" and judging by the number of Portuguese and Spanish comments on the MV, I would say they doing it. That is why their debut is in English. I like it though, it feels like Kpop had a baby with Western music. lol. Anyhow, I ain't been this hype over a debut since Alicia Keys, 20 years ago. Can't wait to see how they keep us on our tippy toes. Their names... First singer (Centre in the mirror) is Maya Second Singer (In the Portrait) is Jurin Third singer (going p the stairs) is Juria First rapper (clothes warehouse) is Harvey Second rapper (classroom) is Kokona Next singer (elevator) is Chisa Blonde (she may sing a ta-ta-ta, but I am not sure) is Hinata.

🌎Fun Facts: XG is almost K-POP band. Korean dancer(Hyojin Choi) made XG’s choreography, Korean producer(Jacops) made XG’s song & music. And XG is trained in Korea for 5 years by K-POP training system. But all the members are Japanese.

I would like to refute this ridiculous "fun fact". (1) Producer Simon Sakai (JAKOPS) is a Japanese national and seems to be a former AVEX trainee. That person collaborated with Japanese company AVEX to produce XG in a project called XGALX. (2) Tippy Toes is full-length English R & B, HIPHOP, and transcendental dance. That's it. (3) The composition team this time is three people including Simon who is Japanese, and the lyricist is an American. (4) Who is the choreography of the dance of Tippy Toes has not been announced (it is not stated as Mr. Choi). (5) Development investment for XG members is made up of AVEX capital. → Overall, it's not that much K-POP ... Right?
