They're a Japanese girl group! And yes you are right about their name, it stands for xtraordinary girls. They debuted under Avex Japan label and apparently Hikaru is set to join this group once she finishes her contract as Kep1er. They're aiming to be a global girl group which is probably why their release are in English so far. They are MAD talented since their channel is filled with dance videos during their pre-debut, which was how they introduced each member. The lyrics to mascara was so empowering it makes me wanna break up with my boyfriend when I don't even have one to begin with 😂😂😂😂😂

When they first debuted it was released they were a collab group between Avex and YG and that lead to the name as a wink wink. Since then the fan sites have reported all kind of conflicting reports 🤷‍♀️ Whatever the name story, their debut has been played so many times by me that the 11 year old ended up adding it to her Playlist too lol

Thank you for the reaction. They're japanese, but their producer is korean. And yess, their outfits is on point, I love their aesthetic. The rapper that you mentioned is Harvey, she's amazing right! I actually found some japanese rapper that has the same style, but she's really rocks the style. With that squeky, high pitched tone its so so easy to sound annoying Also if you're interested I recommend FAKY, a girlgroup from the same company. Japan actually have some of the craziest performers out there, their music industry is really diverse that its hard for a performance group to survive unless you're from a big company, the same with kpop. But with Japan, they have to compete with so many kind of musician, performers or singer and they pretty much the second biggest music market. That's probably why Avex debuted them as a global group, so that they can attract international attention before actually compete in Japanese industry.

I think it’s beyond cheap that they are so obviously trying to ride the K-Pop wave and then the company says they are not affiliated with K-Pop at all.
