Andreas Harboe. Bit of frame scraping going on there, good thing it's not CF 😋
@CofFDnSnaps7 жыл бұрын
Andreas Harboe Thats definitely the benefit of having 12 speeds in the cassette. When you have that granny gear for the steep climbs, a 38 tooth is great. I run a 34 tooth with a 10 speed 11/36t but there are no massive hills near me.
@markclancy57147 жыл бұрын
I also ride with the levers almost parallel, for those DH's where you got them already slanting enough. When they right under the bar and you have to lean back beyond the seat they are more easily accessible and efficient when it the bike shakes hard.

#askgmbn - what is boost? and why would i want it on my bike?
@rogerneilson8157 жыл бұрын
JohnHPhotography. Front hub is 110mm vs 100mm and rear hub is 148mm vs 142 (or 135). Both allow better spoke angles for sturdier wheels and the rear cassette world is getting wider with 1x popularity.
@MrEtienne66577 жыл бұрын
@Roger Neilson you are right, but that bike in particular is not a good example, because American classic make boost hubs that have the same spoke angles than normal hubs, they say it is better to have the same spoke tension on each side of the wheel than to have smaller spoke angles.

Lyrik ? Why not a pike ?
@rogerneilson8157 жыл бұрын
WoD STALKER. Torque caps are the main difference. SRAM claims more strength but I also see more weight. I'm sticking with my Pike. They use the same Charger damper system so vertical feel is the same, it's a steering thing that it's supposed to improve on
@wodstalker28197 жыл бұрын
Oh so... technically the lyric is supposed to be better than the pike ? To make stuff more simple, the lyrik is the equivalent of the XC RS1 ?
@rogerneilson8157 жыл бұрын
WoD STALKER. Technically the Lyric is stiffer than the Pike but only in terms of steering. But it is also heavier so pick your poison. The RS1 is a completely different fork than Pike and Lyric.

@estebangonzalezrosell26907 жыл бұрын
Because building carbon frames damages the environment and the guys from Commencal are against that...

@_systemd7 жыл бұрын
makes me wonder what is the future of aluminium , cause I feel like carbon is getting more and more popular.
@onilovni12347 жыл бұрын
Very weird choice of material, aluminium is from the past. It makes no sense this bike has a lightweight saddle and a no-cage bottle cage to save some weight when the frame is made out of aluminium. Carbon is stiffer, stronger, lighter, better looking and more durable than aluminium. It's a no-brainer for this kind of bike.
@_systemd7 жыл бұрын
somebody somewhere was saying that they are cheaper bikes? so maybe the company is trying to put out more affordable "pro" bikes, otherwise I dont know.
@joerapo7 жыл бұрын
Ellis M Commencal has no plans to develop a carbon frame because of cost. Aluminum isn't a bad material for full suspension bikes since you don't need any compliance from the material.

Mucho massive I agree. But he has that 10-50t cassette. It's a good mix for enduro since he can get a bigger ratio when on the small cog at the back. Eagle cassettes are only appropriate for high speed enduro runs with small climbs, which this race is!
