Wow thank you so much! Now I know how to play it! I never tried because I thought I never get the hang of fingerpicking. Turns out it's not that hard and after 30 minutes - an hour, I can play it :D

Jeroen Verbeeck you can play it just using your pick but I find it more tone accurate playing it with pick/fingers combo.

I too tune this low on my SG. It's floppy, but I'll be goddamned if it isn't heavy as fffffffff

If you wanna tune lower without sacrificing tension and having to file/swap the nut you could try flatwounds! I put .012-.052 pyramid gold flats on my LP copy today and I could comfortably tune down to G standard if not even lower. It's definitely a different sound but I've always preferred a darker tone, you might like it too!

@@fenderjazzface999 For real? I've been struggling with this problem for a while, ended up putting baritone roundwounds on my agile 2500, and it does sound good and can do B an A std no problem, but I deffinitely can't go up to C nor lower than A.

Thanasis Katsadas thanks. I will upload a cover of In Our Blood in a few days. I don't do full covers because I don't have any recording equipment (my pc won't even run audio editing programs). I embrace the raw sound but I know most people find it very "ear fatiguing(?)" hah.

Modrogh I think Im using D'addario 12-56 with a wounded third, but for A Standard I recommend using 13-60 or around those numbers

Evan Davidson I think this guitar has a regular scale. I put 012-056 strings but I would recommend putting thicker strings for A standard tuning.

I think Mike's guitar is longer scale...26.5 or something...How did you learn it? by ear?...watching video? great job!! tricky riffs...even if you do know the tuning...

@@stepitupandgo67 Mike uses a Monson Nomad with fret scale (distance from nut to bridge) I believe of 27 inches (serial #1) www.monsonguitars.com/guitars/nomad.html you can see the guitar at the bottom of the page. I believe 27 inches because #31 has that measurement, and they are the same model. For reference: "On a standard guitar, the scale length (the distance from the nut to the saddle on the bridge) is typically 24.6 to 25.75 inches (625 to 654 mm). The most common scale lengths on a baritone range from 27 to 30.5 inches (690 to 770 mm)." (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baritone_guitar). So Mike's guitar barely registers as baritone, but it's there.

@@sergiocordero3691 Mike's guitar is 25.5 like a Fender type scale. He also uses 14-68 gauge strings.
